What our customers say about their holidays
Jacqui - Verified booking
The cottage itself was lovely and very well equipped and comfortable, one of the best I've stayed in.
It was very clean and clearly a lot of thought has gone into guest comfort. The location is beautiful. What I didn't like was the lack of privacy. CCTV recording video and audio at the front. CCTV on the back garden. Neither were declared in the listing even though Sykes say it should be disclosed. Fortunately the hot tub is around the side and not covered by CCTV. Over zealous and very bright security lights made sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine to enjoy the fading light impossible as they come on at the slightest of movements. This was a disappointment as it's a great spot for night sky gazing. Ditto for enjoying the hot tub after the kids have gone to bed. No screening between the neighbours conservatory which abuts the boundary so the neighbours were sat a few feet away looking straight into the garden. There was an odd and seemingly unnecessary mention of sex offenders in the guest information folder which my daughter read. I hadn't expected to be explaining to a 10 year old what a sex offender is on the first night of my holiday. The information on wild boar was interesting and informative. The hot tub almost certainly was not serviced during our stay. It had reasonable use as there were 5 of us but despite diligent showering beforehand by the 5th evening the water was cloudy and it had a very unpleasant smell. We left on day 6 so no idea if it was serviced after this. We pretty much only ever book properties with hot tubs and have never previously had issues with water quality or smell. It was too cold to use on the first evening presumably due to a change of water so don't expect to relax in it soon after arrival. When usable it was a great addition. On the whole what should have been a wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage didn't feel particularly relaxing particularly when using the outside space. I'm aware I could have cancelled on arrival as the CCTV was not declared however this wasn't a realistic option after a 7.5 hour journey with three young children. It's not particularly clear from the listing whether there's a dining table which almost put me off booking as we always eat meals at the table as a family. There is dining table with two benches and a fold up chair which was perfectly adequate for dining.

Fabulous place.
As soon as you drive through the gate at Reybridge house you get the wow factor, its stunning. Shortly after arrival we were greated by the property owner. Chris is a local dairy farmer and one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure to meet, he gave us some excellent recommendations for the local area and then showed us how to operate the hot tub, fire panel & kitchen appliances (fortunately we did not need the fire panel) The hot tub was checked decreatly everyday by either Chris or Georgina to ensure the chemical balance was correct We were a party of 11 so had plenty of room to spread out around the house and enjoy all the different spaces. The top floor had 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom & was great for the younger ones as there is a snug area with sofa's TV, video games console & plenty of board games for all ages. The middle floor had 3 large bedrooms and a smaller bedroom along with 2 bathrooms and a shower room. The last bedroom was on the ground floor and overlooked the garden. Everyone said that there beds were very comfortable. The kitchen area is very moden and well equipped with absolutely everything you need. I think my wife's favourite thing in the house was the shoe warmer in the boot room. The gardens are lovely and spread around the entire house with a large garden seating area and selection of garden games in the shed. To the left of the property there is a cow shed and on the right there is an equestrian centre and the lacock dairy ice cream shop. A short walk away is the charming village of lacock and it feels like a step back in time. Overall we had a wonderful time at reybridge house and would 100% recommend this property.

We stayed at Reybridge House for a family reunion for 4 days.
My only complaint is that we wish we had booked a longer time away! The house is beautiful, and a lovely mix between old & new. Kitchen was really well stocked, and the beds were really comfy. Despite being an old house, the showers were amazing. With the front gate closed, the garden is fully enclosed & we loved having a hot tub & covered area for outdoor socialising. Georgina was great at communicating with us throughout & check in process was simple. The ice creams & horses next door were a real bonus. It was the ideal spot for spending quality time with family but with ample options for walking & exploring Lacock, which is an easy walk away through the fields. It's worth noting that dogs are only allowed on the ground floor & there is one GF bedroom, but there is a kennel & small run in the garden. We found that the fire alarm was pretty responsive & managed to set it off twice by burning food, but instructions for resetting it were clear. Would definitely aim to come back if we were planning a similar break.

We had a lovely weekend as a group a ladies having a break away.
The property is great, remote and clean. The beds are very comfortable and the hot tub a bonus. I would however say that the small table and benches in the sitting room do not seat 5 adults and as this probably sleeps 5, this was frustrating. The hot tub was very snug for 5 adults too. A book to write recommendations in would be good as this is something all of us agreed we were used to. We would like to have written down some of the things we discovered for the next visitors. Also, maybe a few games? We did, however, have a lovely weekend in this very peaceful cottage. Sykes customer services however leaves much to be desired! I tried to get in touch before our visit with a number of queries and all I got back were a few WhatsApp messages telling me they were too busy! Itâs impossible to actually speak to a human!

Reybridge House is amazing, beautiful, picturesque and peaceful stay!
You don't feel like you're encroaching on locals that live in the area, it's very private and serene. The house is renovated to a very high standard, every detail and the décor feels as though it has been carefully considered and thought about specifically for the property. Lacock is a short walk away, a very beautiful village with all amenities and tourist attractions. My friends and I had a wonderful stay, the trouble we'll have is finding another place to stay next year that is better than Reybridge House! The host is incredibly friendly and helpful and just wants you to enjoy your time in their beautiful property. Could not recommend staying here enough! Definitely has the wow factor!
