  A wonderful holiday I cannot recommend it enoughI have stayed in many cottages but this really was a home away from home. It was as though the owners had just left to go out to the shops! It was quiet, pleasant and comfortable. If you have a dog or young children it has a very suitable garden and there is a wee park just across the road. The shops, cafes and restaurant are about a five minute walk away with the co-op the same distance through the park. The town has a lot to offer and I strongly recommend the market on a Tuesday morning. It is easy to travel all around the Cotswold area in a car from here and nothing seemed to be further than half an hour away. Even visiting at the end of February we were delighted with not only the house but also the area.

  The cottage was very nice to stay in.

  Very homely and cosy. I actually think it looks a bit nicer than the pictures! Lots of small touches/attention to detail in the decor. The faux fireplace was also really nice. The only thing we really didn't like was the bed... It is very creaky and felt a little unstable. The very soft mattress definitely didn't help with that either. In terms of constructive feedback for the host - it would be good to check tea/coffee etc. between guests. We only had one coffee pod, the rest were just milk, and the instant coffee was also very old really dark and stuck together. We also only had 1 dishwasher tablet for 3 nights.

  We had a wonderful stay at The Cheese Room with our young cocker spaniel.

  Lucy & Andy, the owners, live next door and are on hand for any assistance but leave you to yourselves otherwise. The cottage is quaint, really nicely decorated and all of the space used well. The village is very quiet with just a pub and no shops, but the pub food was great, and it is only a short drive to the next town to go shopping. There is so much to do in the Cotswolds and the location of this cottage is ideal for getting anywhere, being only a couple of minutes drive from the main A road, taking you to all the sights of the area. Highly recommend The Cheese Room for a stay in the Cotswolds!

  Super and snug!

  Lovely welcome pack on arrival and the kitchen whilst compact has everything you need Nice touches like cheese in the fridge and fresh milk plus delightful toiletries in the bathroom The stairs to the bedroom are steep but as long as you are aware of that before booking it shouldn’t be an issue as what you find upstairs is the comfiest of beds! The village is very quiet and very pretty, and the plough Inn is a 2 minute walk away where the happy hour 5-7pm is available. Food is nice too. We enjoyed our stay very much and left feeling relaxed and recharged

  My sister and I stayed for a few nights at The Cheese Room, with her dog.

  We had a really lovely time and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to visit the area! Lucy was very friendly and helpful prior to our stay ,providing local information and making sure we arrived to a cosy and welcoming place after our long drives! The property is spotless, beautifully decorated and very homely- We both commented how we could live there! Lots of little touches that really helped us feel at home! We got lucky with the weather which meant we could do lots of beautiful local dog walks and explore the cotswolds. Would love to return!
