  The house is in a great location and has plenty of space. Unfortunately we didn't find it child friendly or spotlessly clean On the children friendly side ,,the kitchen had a island with a overhang for stools that our two year old granddaughter banged her head on daily ending in tears. Lots of the draws were just full of stuff not suitable for small children,,,hammer, screwdrivers,glue,spare bits and pieces for things around the house which little fingers find interesting. The bathrooms all had a box on the floor containing bleach and other cleaning stuff which again not good for little people, these should de out of the way or at least out of reach. The booklet inside said the cleaner needed the whole 7 hours to turn the house around for the next guests, apparently laundry taking most of the time. Perhaps while waiting for the laundry to do the could clean the corners and the lamp shades as these were covered in dust. The house is supposed to be dog friendly but dogs are asked to be kept downstairs when the living room is upstairs . The bookcase with children games and various books was a great addition apart fromm the three large boxes of matches and box of fire lighter Over all enjoyed our stay but couldn't relax properly as needed to keep an extra eye on the grandchildren who loved to explore being 8 year old and a 2 year old.the 13 year old was fine as loved his space to himself having his own room. For the £2000 + price we would have expected more than we got

  A superbly located cottage in a beautiful rural setting, yet within a couple of minutes drive to all the shops and facilities in Dereham. Very comfortable and clean, with everything needed on hand through the week, with some lovely welcome items in the kitchen on arrival (the eggs from the farm are as excellent as other reviews have stated!). This was our first foray away from staying on the coast in Norfolk during the school holidays and was a great decision. The location of the cottage is perfect for visiting a whole new range of attractions and places in the county for all the family - we came away after a week, having visited somewhere new each day, with a lengthy list of places still to visit. Would definitely recommend.

  Brilliant cottage! We had a lovely week with 6 adults and a toddler. The house is bigger than the pictures and description make it look with lots of bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I've ever come across. Location is fantastic- walking distance to beach, cafes, restaurants and shops. We were slightly concerned about parking, but managed to find spaces for two cars nearby with no problem. The parking space at the back is accessed by a narrow lane, so be aware that if you have a wide 4x4 or similar, you probably would struggle (our Astra was fine). Would definitely recommend!

  A wonderful, high quality cottage which far exceeded our expectations. The welcome touches on arrival (fresh bread, milk, cake, eggs, wine) were simply lovely. Very peaceful location equidistant from Norwich and the coast. Generous hosts (free pick your own strawberries!), very well equipped property, lovely private garden, somewhere I would happily live! Completely understandable due to managing Covid, but it was a real shame we had to leave by 9am on departure day to give clear time before the cleaners arrived - would have liked to maximise our time there. Would definitely like to return.

  A lovely, comfortable property, ideally situated to explore North Norfolk. Quietly placed in a very rural setting, we had a stress free relaxing break. The property was just the right size to accommodate the 4 adults, 6 year old and a baby in our party. Our 6 year old Granddaughter was particularly impressed with the shower in her room, we could hardly keep her out of it!!. We would highly recommend the Cattle Barn and would definitely consider booking again.
