What our customers say about their holidays

“This is a very nice holiday property, very close to the town centre but more of a ground floor flat than a bungalow. Owners were very pleasant on arrival and showed us to our parking space, which was very large. This property is roomy and nice and clean, apart from the kitchen sink which my hubby cleaned. Cannot comment on the cooking appliances as we didn't use them, but they were very clean. Found the 2 steps down from the kitchen to the living room to be quite deep with nothing to hold onto, could use a grab handle for the elderly, like us!. Bathroom and the rest of the property was lovely and clean, the Saniflo toilet was rather noisy when flushed so did not flush during the night, wasn't sure if this could be heard by the owners who's property was adjacent and above us. Walk in shower has grab handles & a seat which was just what I wanted. The bedroom was spacious with lots of wardrobe space, hooks on the back of the door, a full length mirror and power sockets under the dressing table + usb port, a real bonus. The bed was huge but I found it really high, could have done with a foot stool!, hubby managed fine as he is taller than me. The duvet was really heavy we could hardly lift it. A lighter duvet would have been preferred. This would have been lovely and cosy during the winter but not needed as the weather was warm during our stay. Bedroom TV had plenty of channels for late night watching. Sitting room was very spacious, 2 large settees which were fairly comfy. Limited TV channels on the TV though, we did try to retune but it made no difference, preferred the bedroom one. Garden and furniture was lovely, very peaceful as the property is set back from the road. All the bedding, furniture etc was of a very high quality. ”

“The Den is located just away from the main area in Sheringham. Sadly you can still hear the very loud music and noise at times. The owners are on site (the Den is an annexe) and are lovely, welcoming folk. The property is spotless and ideal for a couple. There are two steps inside which are very high if you're under 5'4"! However the bed is very comfortable and the bedding and towels are again spotless. We never cook anything when on holiday as we either eat out or bring back something with salad but the Den is fully and well equipped if you want to prepare food yourselves. This is the only self catering holiday home in years that I haven't felt I've had to wash cutlery and crockery etc. Not that other places have been obviously dirty but we're particularly conscious of germs etc especially since covid! Here again we found the Den is spotlessly clean, the cutlery shines! The sofas are fine but for overall comfort a couple of pouffes or footstools would make this really ccomfortable.
The patio with its doors from the living room is definitely a bonus. Overall I'd say this was a great place to stay but a bit pricier than some places. You couldn't fault the cleanliness or the pleasant surroundings. The parking place is big enough to take any car (ours is quite long as its a merc estate)
A pleasant stay all round! ”

Lovely cottage.
Warm and cosy. Good log burner. Kitchen had everything you would need except the dishwasher isnât working properly. It leaves dirty water in the bottom. We ended up washing everything by hand. Just felt there were some maintenance issues in the cottage. Already mentioned the dishwasher. Over half the coffee mugs were dirty and needed a good soak in some bleach. Table lamp left of the fireplace not working. Night light at the top of the stairs not working and bedside clock in main bedroom not working. The cottage really needs an information folder about how to use the central heating, tv, dishwasher etc and also where to eat in the village, takeaways, pubs etc. This is the first Sykes cottage we have stayed at where there has been no welcome pack. With a bit more TLC this cottage could be a little gem.

We have had a lovely week in this beautiful house with our small dog, Lily. The beaches are amazing (Brancaster, Holkham, and Old Hunstanton) and the cafe at the beach at Old Hunstanton serves a great breakfast as well as amazing cakes. The fish 'n' chip shop in the village here serves lovely fresh cod and the pub around the corner is friendly and serves good food (The Railway). The house has literally everything you need (except maybe a pen for me to write this review!) and the beds are so comfortable, and no expense has been spared with the quality of everything. Our first visit to Norfolk will not be our last and we hope to return to Reenroe again. Thank you for the perfect break - especially with the fabulous weather for March.
