What our customers say about their holidays

On the whole a lovely stay.
Its a small, cosy and very clean place with no garden and the small outside space is very visible to all passers (though the cottage is just across the road from the lovely University gardens). Set in the most beautiful village and next to a picturesque duck pond it is really well located for some fab locations in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the cotswolds. Patsy the housekeeper was lovely, responsive and fantastic. But the house has a few niggles - the shower water pressure isn't great and the shower hose looks as if it might split soon. There were a few spiders but it's a thatched cottage, that is to be expected. The freezer is in the garage which can only be accessed by leaving the house (and was off when we arrived). The TV was a bit small but fitting for the really nice inglenook fireplace. Sound proofing was limited and you can hear easily between the lounge and the two bedrooms. The people in the village were really helpful and friendly. Although it's quite a list the niggles are all small, we'd definitely consider coming back.

We had a great stay at the Old Barn.
We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children. The barn is stunning. It really has the wow factor. As you drive in you are greeted by a barn full of cows! There is large parking area, grand entrance, with huge open space plan. With high ceilings I thought it might get cold but the temperature was perfect, there is under floor heating throughout keeping it toasty warm. We wanted to use the wood burner more but only used it once. Itâs so cosy. Up to date kitchen with all the things you would need. I would have liked better quality pans. A few dishwasher tabs but bring some of your own if staying longer. Beds are comfortable, rooms a good size. Itâs a short drive from Oxford. We did the park and ride with ease. Also near Witney, nice to take a stroll around. You do have to get in the car to go anywhere. Iâm sure in the summer itâs even nicer with a grass area, patio and BBQ. There is washing machine if needed. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend.

It was a lovely cosy cottage, with all the equipment and facilities necessary, but perhaps more suitable for a weekend than an extended stay.
A couple of points: 1We were surprised, given we were staying three weeks at the property, not to be offered cleaning or change of linen and towels. We did not anticipate having to do our own cleaning and bedding laundry in a 'holiday' cottage. When I raised this with the company I was told the expectation was that we should arrange it ourselves with the owners - but we did not have any direct contact with the owners and in any case, we were not aware of the requirement. 2.the heating in the living room was on all night which made it very hot. There were strict instructions not to change the settings so we didn't. Heating in the kitchen was working as set out in the information folder.

The Tap Room is a lovely cottage right in the centre of Kingham - a beautiful quiet village perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds.
It is small and cosy but big enough for our party of 4. The kitchen is well equipped. Because of Covid all ornaments had been removed but that did not detract from the stylish feel of the place. The weather was great during our stay so we spent a lot of time in the patio area, which is large and well equipped. There are 2 pubs/restaurants within 200m of the cottage plus a small general store. We visited the Plough during our stay. Good food and service - recommended. Daylesford is nearby., with a farm shop, cafe, restaurant and spa. The walk from Kingham is easy and pleasant. We stopped for breakfast/coffee on a couple of occasions. Very nice. We would happily stay again.

The Tap Room is a lovely little cottage in a perfect Cotswold Village.
There are 2 fantastic pubs on the doorstep (worth booking if you plan to visit), and many great activities and day trips in driving distance. We were lucky enough to have good weather and so enjoyed the BBQ the cottage comes with and the lovely garden. The main bedroom is a good size for a short break - though taller people be aware of some very low ceilings. I'm 5' 10 and needed to keep ducked down, which is no bother but something to remember in the night! Kitchen had everything we needed, though we only cooked on the BBQ so I cannot comment on the oven as we were fortunate to not need to use it. A good short break we did not expect to get in Summer 2020!
