Between King's Lynn to the east and Peterborough to the west is the sleepy Norfolk village of Emneth. The storied Domesday Book mentions the ancient village, which is best known for being the site of Hagbeach Hall, a mediaeval house that was destroyed in 1887, as well as the historic landmark of St. Edmund's Church, a 15th-century structure that still stands today. For stocking up on necessities, the village has a post office and a convenience shop. Visitors may also grab a coffee at the Sweet Things Savoury cafe or a takeaway meal at the Jade Garden. A short drive to the north will take you to Wisbech, a market town bursting with things to do and see, such as wandering the grounds of the National Trust landmark Peckover House and Garden, catching a movie at the Luxe Cinema, or brushing up on local history at the Wisbech & Fenland Museum. Hosts were lovely and popped out to say hello / ask about our day which was nice, but we also had privacy as if the annex was our own home. Would definitely recommend

Philip and Michelle are excellent hosts and offered helpful suggestions of where to go. They also left welcoming gifts which were much appreciated and a wonderful touch. However, the listing made reference to a small metal bbq at the property, which wasn't available. Although not a biggie, this is something we were planning to use. Only criticism, which would benefit other guests in the kitchen, is sharper knives to help with food prep. On the whole, we loved the property and would definitely visit again in the future.

The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The annex was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I would highly recommend this property.
