Some guests mention the lounge area being dark, but this is offset by the property's many positive aspects.

The cottage is lauded for its excellent location within walking distance to the village, local pubs, and farm shop. Its setting in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales offers beautiful scenery and access to local attractions.
Reviews highlight the comfortable and spacious accommodation, with special mentions of high-quality linens and fixtures. The beds and sofas are noted for their comfort, contributing to a cosy and relaxing experience.
The property is well-equipped with quality fittings and a warm atmosphere. However, some guests note the lack of natural light in the lounge and the need for better Wi-Fi connectivity, which slightly impacts the overall experience.
The thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack with treats like wine and cake, are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. While these gifts add to the welcoming atmosphere, it's worth noting that such offerings may vary and are not guaranteed.

Very warm property so donât wrap up too warm! We went away as a group of 4 adults and 2 children with a dog and still had plenty of space. Very gracious and accommodating host too who answered our many questions promptly.

Our host, Lesley, was super friendly and helpful - even offering to allow us to check in early and out late as there were no bookings either side. The property is lovely and spacious and less than a 15 minute walk into Ashover where you can enjoy three pubs and a coffee room. When we checked in, there was a lovely bottle of red wine, lemon drizzle cake and a carton of milk waiting for us. Such a lovely touch! The beds were really comfortable and good cooking equipment available.

We enjoyed everything about the property but the WiFi connection was a bit frustrating when trying to cast to the tv.
