A beautifully presented cottage on the edge of Edwinstowe village, with good access to Sherwood Forest and the Peak District National Park. This semi-detached property has been completely renovated in a reverse-level layout, providing a heart-warming accommodation to return to after a day tracking down Robin Hood and his Merry Men! Accessed via a gentle ramp to the rear of the property, you enter into the spacious hallway with plenty of room to hang up your jackets and store away your shoes. Discover the two tastefully furnished bedrooms, including a lavish double with en-suite shower room and a twin, which is serviced by the family bathroom with luxurious roll-top bath. Head upstairs to find the large sitting room, housing a leather sofa and a multi fuel stove to curl up beside during those colder nights. Outside is a pretty patio area where you can sit and enjoy a drink whilst listening to the river flow by and if lucky king fishers, the property also has fishing rights to the river. There is also an enclosed area which offers a secure spot for children to play without access to the water. The property has a nearby Trekking center which offers stabling and parking for a horse box, this is to be booked in advanced by contacting the owner for more details. Mill Cottage is just a short walk to the village of Edwinstowe where you can browse a variety of shops and eateries, as well as a butcher’s, bakers and a supermarket. Sherwood Forest and the visitor’s centre can also be found within walking distance from the centre of Edwinstowe, offering excellent cycle routes and paths, whilst Clumber Park and Rufford Park boast beautiful grounds to explore. Edwinstowe is a village with a selection of shops and amenities, in the heart of Sherwood Forest. This historic woodland is host to a Robin Hood Visitor Centre providing wonderful woodland walks that include the renowned Major Oak tree. Clumber Park, belonging to the National Trust, is also close by and has over 3,000 acres of land for walking or cycling through as well as well-manicured gardens and a lake with over 200 different species of bird.

    Great location with short walk to village Co-op and amenities. Very relaxing and quiet cottage with lovely views all round. Especially enjoyed watching horses, sheep and resident emu just over the river. Have already booked for next year. Only slight negative is lack of off-road parking.
