Local activities include rock climbing, hiking, and ghyll scrambling. At Whinlatter Forest Park (4.5 miles) you can hire mountain bikes and go exploring, or you can take a cruise from Keswick across Derwentwater, with stops at Ashness Gate, Lodore and Hawes End. Walkers can attempt Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw or Causey Pike (all within 6 miles). Entering the property via a private entrance hall, stairs lead you up to the first floor where you will find the spacious and welcoming lounge/diner. This is a lovely space to relax in at the end of a fabulous day: the lounge features comfortable seating, an electric fire, Smart TV, DVD, CD and Bluetooth speaker. The dining area is ideal for sharing a favourite family meal which you can enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen.
