Guests appreciate its homely atmosphere and proximity to Keswick, with easy access to local walks and bus routes. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the property's charm and location offer a delightful retreat in the Lake District.

The property is frequently described as 'sparkling clean' and well-maintained, suggesting high standards of cleanliness. Occasional comments about musty smells and cobwebs indicate minor lapses but do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to Keswick and local bus routes. Some guests mention difficulty in locating the property and challenges with parking, but these are offset by the property's accessibility to the surrounding area.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of a cosy bed and the ability to relax after a day of walking. The presence of a heated summerhouse adds to the comfort, although some comments about a wobbly tap and a tricky hob suggest room for improvement.

The property is well-equipped, with a good-sized kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, there are recurring mentions of maintenance issues such as loose taps, Wi-Fi problems, and difficulties with the TV and hob, indicating that some facilities could benefit from attention.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the reviews provided.

This deluxe and spacious, ground floor apartment is part of a Georgian Grade II listed property in which the poet Shelley lived in 1811. The property features in the early pioneering photographs of the Abraham brothers. Discover your country style kitchen with granite worktops, breakfast bar delightfully set in a pretty window and high-quality units. Perfect for the home chef. A welcoming dining room lies nearby. Your large master bedroom with king-size bed (additional single put-you-up bed on request), has fine views to the fells. The family bathroom has period suite with bath and separate shower unit. You will also find a separate utility room. Walk on to your sunny, west facing terrace and discover your delightful and comfortably furnished summer house. The whole apartment has chic and comfortable furnishings, giving a light and warm ambience. Large windows make the most of the views from each room and you will find fitted carpets in the bedroom and lounge, parquet and tiled flooring to hallway and other rooms, and tasteful decor with contemporary stone sculptures complete the internal details.

Walk into Keswick to browse the specialist shops and to have a bite to eat. Visit the renowned Pencil Museum, home of the first pencil. Enjoy a lake cruise on beautiful Derwentwater. There is a twice weekly market in Keswick. For a more challenging adventure walk up to lovely Catbells or Latrigg, Keswick’s own fell. Very stylish and traditional. Beautiful gardens and a very relaxing atmosphere that hides away from the busy centre of town . We would definitely return and probably will.
