Guests say

Romney 12 is a well-regarded cottage in Ambleside, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's convenience for exploring the Lake District. While some minor issues were noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with only a couple of isolated incidents suggesting minor oversights. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to the guests' experiences.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting, beautiful views, and proximity to the town and Waterhead. It is considered an excellent base for exploring the area, contributing to its high score.

Comfort receives a slightly lower score due to mixed feedback. While many find the property comfortable and spacious, some guests mention issues with bedding and an uncomfortable mattress, which affected their rest.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped for guests' needs. However, some comments about maintenance issues, such as stiff locks and the need for updated kitchenware, slightly lower the score.

While some guests missed welcome packs and felt that little touches could be improved, there is not enough consistent information about the provision of gifts to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that while such amenities are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

The only fault we found with it was that there were no sockets near either of the dressing tables so to use my hotbrush hairdrier I had to use the TV screen as a mirror.

We even had several sightings of a deer in the well manicured gardens. The property was well equipped and close to Water head and the ferries. We did find the allotted car parking space tight for our Kia but there were plenty of visitor spaces that we used. Can highly recommend the property.
