There were stains on the carpet/ sofa. The sofa smell absolutely awful. A bad feet smell, felt very uncomfortable sitting on it. - The carpets had not been hoovered so I had to hoover the whole lodge the day we arrived - The bedrooms smelt of dirt and dust, particularly around the bedside tables where it's not been cleaned properly. - It's clean on a surface level but it really needs a deep clean - The fridge didn't work properly. Even on max setting the butter was soft when we pulled it out. Everything was not chilled so we were worried about the food we bought paticularly the meat/ milk. As I said its a shame as the view is stunning but for over £300 per night we expect the place to be clean and not smell. We won't be returning to this lodge next year.

Would definitely return. One and small downside is my husband had to work on the odd occasion and the wifi wasnât good at all. This would be a site problem Iâd think.
Linda
What a beautiful view, donât think there could be a better spot in the Lake District, and lodge was very comfortable and well kept
