Guests have had a delightful experience at Woodland Nook Lodge, praising its warm, comfortable ambiance and peaceful setting. The lodge's cleanliness and location in the Lake District are consistently commended, with many visitors appreciating the proximity to local attractions and the quiet cul-de-sac positioning. The thoughtful touches, such as festive decorations and a well-appointed space, have not gone unnoticed, contributing to the lodge's charm.
The majority of guests found the lodge to be clean and well-presented, with several noting its spotless condition. However, a few guests mentioned areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning or attention, slightly affecting the overall impression.
The lodge's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with easy access to Lake Windermere and nearby towns. Its central position in the Lake District makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Guests have found the lodge to be comfortable and cosy, with a warm welcome and homely feel. Some guests, however, mentioned that the mattresses were too firm for their liking, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
Facilities such as the on-site bar and restaurant are appreciated, and the lodge is well-equipped. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues like poor internet connection and the need for better signage on-site, indicating that some aspects could be enhanced.
While guests have expressed gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as Christmas decorations and informative leaflets, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or special amenities provided to accurately score this category.

Unfortunately I have to agreed with other reviews there was an off smell. The on suite bathroom had used razors in the shower cady(might still be there I wasnât lifting them) and the bottom of the shower unit was coming away . There was damp behind the curtain in the main bedroom. The bed in the twin room was uncomfortable to be honest I think it needs replaced . Perhaps kids had been jumping on it. There were artificial nails behind the single bed. There was no lighting in the main bathroom either. The crockery needed washed prior to using. Whoever cleans the lodge surely must notice the issues. Couldnât get through to the numbers provided on the email prior to arrival to get the code for the barrier. We tried live chat but they advised the booking ref was incorrect . We all headed home early on the Sunday.
