Staward Villa Cottage is a gorgeous former farm cottage which has been tastefully and beautifully restored by the current owners. With spectacular views and lots of history, there is a real feel of character and charm throughout the cottage. This is a perfect getaway for couples to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst only being a short drive from the medieval abbey town of Hexham and the upmarket village Corbridge.
This picturesque cottage sleeps four guests in two beautifully appointed bedrooms, and can also accept one infant. Relax with a good book in front of one of the cosy log burners in the sitting room or dining kitchen, or simply enjoy the silence in the private garden whilst taking in the panoramic views of the East Allen Valley. If you’re seeking R & R, this is the perfect place to achieve it!

We had a fantastically busy week in the bridge sunshine! The walks around the cottage are absolutely gorgeous – going to Allendale town was so picturesque! Flowery fields, a wooded path with pixie doors hidden in the trees, so many cute independent shops and a visit to the museum of Classic Sci-Fi. I’d highly recommend a day trip to The Lake District – we drove there, climbed and drove back all in time to watch a vibrant sunset across the valley! Even on the one day we stayed inside, drawing and reading sat in the windows of this place is like nothing else. A huge thank you for having us stay!

What a wonderful stay at a home away from home. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, we loved looking out onto the valley every evening. Such a peaceful atmosphere! We loved all of the local produce availability and Jill’s cafe is a must for breakfast. We wandered around Allendale town and Corbridge which was lovely. Mary & Phil were extremely helpful, it was a joy to stay at Staward Villa Cottage.
