Pinfold Retreat in Alnmouth is praised for its excellent location, with easy access to local amenities and the Northumberland coast. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere during winter, and the provision of essentials. While some find the cottage comfortable and well-equipped, others note the furniture could be more comfortable and the space better suited for fewer guests. Parking is convenient, though the lack of outdoor space is noted.
The majority of guests report the cottage as very clean, with only one mention of it not being ready upon arrival, which was promptly addressed. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to the guests' experience.
The location is highly commended for its convenience to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Alnmouth is described as dog-friendly and the cottage's proximity to attractions is a highlight for many visitors.
Guests have mixed feelings about comfort; some find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, while others criticise the lounge furniture and space constraints, particularly for four adults.
Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a washing machine, dishwasher, and smart TV. However, some guests experienced issues with maintenance, such as an out-of-order fire and missing items.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, therefore it is not possible to assess this category.

Mr Thorpe
Very much improved property since the lounge/dining area has been refurnished. Very central location for all the dog friendly Alnmouth eateries. No garden but easy walking distance to the beach for dog walking. Plenty of room for 2 adults but may be a bit cramped (cosy) with 4 adults. Very well equipped kitchen although we ate out most nights.

Excellent location with parking. Extremely comfortable. Have stayed previously and wouldn’t hesitate to again.

Fabulous cottage with parking- what a bonus! Well equipped, lovely linen and very cosy and comfortable. Location was an absolute winner, ideal for exploring Northumberland’s stunning coastline. A few minutes walk to pubs and lovely places to eat.
