A superb lodge for two, complete with hot tub, Mallard House Lodge is surrounded by open countryside and situated within the secluded area of Culgaith. There are many rural walks giving you the opportunity to see the Eden Valley from different viewpoints, and is within easy access to the Lake District.
Mallard House Lodge provides the perfect location for exploring the Lake District and the North Pennines. Located in Culgaith, this studding lodge with larch wood cladding is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
Enter into the attractive open-plan sitting and kitchen area; the sitting area boasts beautiful views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy whilst sitting in front of the Everhot electric stove. The dining area has a table and chairs for both guests to enjoy a lovely home cooked meal prepared in the modern kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you could possibly need, from an electric oven to a Hotel Chocolat velvetiser. The style from the open-plan living area follows through the lodge into the bedroom, providing the cosiest space to wind down after a day exploring the pretty village of Culgaith or the Lake District. From the sitting room, wander out onto the decking which is surrounded by countryside views and houses the private hot tub where you can soothe and rejuvenate, ready for a new day .

It was a pleasure to stay at Mallard Lodge. It is a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully presented property. Lots of lovely touches were included from eye masks and ear plugs (how did they know my husband snores?) to big fluffy bathrobes and slippers to use by the hot tub. The welcome pack was fabulous including the basics such as bread and milk and treats such as delicious biscuits and prosecco. The kitchen is fully equiped and included much appreciated extras such as cooking oil, tin foil, spare tea and coffee plus Hotel Chocolat drinking chocolate. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. Thank you.
