The property is gorgeous, tastefully decorated in calm creams and greens and light dimmers for relaxing evenings The shower has good water pressure and there were plenty of clean white towels. Large airy rooms were cool in the hot weather and the courtyard garden was a private outdoor space. The garage is small but it is great to have off road parking. Matlock is a very nice town. There is a garage, fish and chip shop and a corner shop all within 5 mins walk. It only takes 10 mins to walk to the town centre through the park - where there is a cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and snacks. There are a lot of places in Matlock to eat out in the evenings as well. There is so much to do in the area. We visited Bakewell, Haddon Hall and Matlock Bath/ Heights of Abraham and walked to Lumsdale mill ruins and waterfall - all of which I would highly recommend.
