Just 1 mile from the world-famous Eden Project and with all the facilities of St Austell within a 7-minute drive, Kingfisher Lodge
offers a unique escape in the heart of the Cornish countryside. Overlooking tranquil fishing lakes, this beautifully appointed single story retreat is owned by a Cornish International fisherman, capped for England five times, making it the perfect getaway for those who love the sport—or simply crave
peace and relaxation.
Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming open plan living space, complete with plush sofas, Smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals. Dine indoors or take in the fresh air on the wrap-around decking, where the only soundtrack is the soothing sounds of nature.
After a day of fishing or exploring, retreat to the king-size bedroom (which can be arranged as a twin on request) and refresh in the sleek shower room.
In the early morning, as you sit on the deck with a coffee and croissant, watch for the heron standing on the waters edge or the kingfisher flitting across the water. As the mist rises over the lakes and the sound of fish jumping signals the start of a new day, breathe it in—this is the beauty of the countryside, nature, and the restorative power of time spent at Kingfisher Lodge.
Beyond the lodge, Cornwall’s finest attractions are right at your fingertips. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Charlestown, with its historic tall ships and charming harbour, is only a 6-minute drive, while Tesco Superstore, just 3 miles away, ensures all your self catering essentials are within easy reach.
For lovers of the coast, Polkerris Beach, Carlyon Bay and Porthpean Beach provide golden sands and breathtaking views, perfect for lazy beach days or invigorating coastal
walks. A short 15-minute drive takes you to the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan, where hidden pathways and stunning flora transport you to another world. If you’re craving Cornwall’s wild side, the surf beaches and rugged cliffs of Newquay’s north coast are just 25 minutes away, offering incredible scenery and world-class waves.
Whether you’re casting a line, soaking in the coastal beauty, or exploring Cornwall’s rich history, Kingfisher Lodge is your gateway to it all
Sitting peacefully in the beautiful county of Cornwall just a mile from the south coast with its numerous sheltered, sandy, beaches, you will find the historic market town of St Austell. Filled with a range of pubs and bars, scrumptious local eateries, St Austell has a train station on the mainline connecting you easily to Truro and on down to Penzance. Newquay can also be reached by train via a quick change at nearby Par. St Austell’s central location in Cornwall provides the perfect setting for your next holiday to the Southwest. Spend your days on exciting outings to such attractions as The Eden Project or the nearby historical port of Charlestown, where you can see artefacts recovered from local ship wrecks at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum. Head to Porthpean Beach for a tranquil walk along the soft sands or hire a kayak for a paddle in the calm, crystal clear waters, before pampering yourself at The Clearing Spa or enjoying a quick nine holes at St Austell Golf Club. Grab some fresh ingredients from the local supermarket on your way back to your holiday home for an evening of wining and dining indoors. St Austell is the ultimate setting for a fabulous coastal getaway.
