Point Break is a well-regarded cottage in Polzeath, Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, stunning location with sea views, and proximity to the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, suitable for family gatherings and holidays. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of basic supplies upon arrival were noted, the responsive staff and overall comfort have led to repeat bookings and recommendations.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several reviews noting it as 'spotless' and 'extremely clean'. However, a few minor comments about mouldy curtains and the need for a bit of TLC slightly affect the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful sea views and proximity to the beach, making it an ideal spot for a holiday. The convenience to local shops and restaurants further enhances its appeal.
Guests find the property comfortable, with a special mention of constant hot showers and a well-stocked house. Some guests noted issues with noise from creaky floors and stuffy downstairs bedrooms, which slightly impacts the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped for hosting families, with a fully stocked kitchen and additional amenities like an outdoor shower. However, there are comments about broken hobs, blocked shower drains, and the need for more crockery, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews. Therefore, while the staff is noted to be helpful, there is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, and the score is set to null.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Everything we needed and more . Loved being so close to the beach . Lovely stroll down to Polzeth for food and drinks . We will definitely be back next year . We definitely highly recommend this property to the large family as ample room with 5 bedrooms . Lots of outdoor space and enough parking for 3/4 cars .

Would definitely recommend and come back again. Only downside was the house could do with a bit of tlc. Hob broken on end. Mouldy net curtains, cushion covers tattered, few holes in walls that need filling , ( screws through plaster board) doors scrapped by handles. So little things that need attention. Didnât spoil our holiday but if had paid £6,000 in height of season wouldâve been disappointed. Have photos if need them .

Great sunsets. Comfortable and clean - fantastic constant hot showers and outdoor shower. Great to have extra beer fridge on ground floor. Suggest new table Mats and glasses but still good assortment. Downstairs front rooms can hear everyone moving on the first floor - very loud in the night ( squeaky and creaky floor)
