The Moorings is a stylish, detached holiday home set in the heart of Rock village, very close to a range of local shops and services, and within a mile of beautiful Rock beach, Cornwall. With access to a nearby footpath, leading to the scenic Camel Estuary via Porthilly Cove, The Moorings boasts fresh and calm decor, an enclosed, south-facing rear garden with a sunny terrace, and ample off-road parking, making it an ideal base for a family of six. Next to the well laid-out kitchen, a useful utility room is an appropriate place to leave sandy shoes, boots, and damp wetsuits, whilst the sitting room and dining room, both with attractive, contemporary furnishings, have doors that open out to the terrace and garden; throw them open on a warm day and bring the outside in. The king-size and the twin bedroom are spacious and light, whilst a smaller bunk room is perfect for children to share. A very popular seaside village, Rock enjoys a beautiful location in North Cornwall on the stunning Camel Estuary, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rent a kayak or paddle board and set off on a family outing upstream to find a secret beach for a sunbathing and a picnic stop. Learn to waterski or sail at the excellent schools on the waterfront or simply walk along the endless sand-dunes whilst watching the boats come and go. Enjoy fresh seafood and other Cornish delights in the many local restaurants, including The Mariners pub by Michelin-star chef Paul Ainsworth. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
