The location is highly praised for its proximity to Lyme Regis town and scenic views. The walkability and the surrounding countryside contribute to a high score, despite the mention of a steep hill.
Guests found the house comfortable, with special mentions of the seating, beds, and the provision of blankets. However, one review mentioned the house being cold, which slightly lowers the score.
The well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities were appreciated, but some guests noted the need for updates, decluttering, and better maintenance. The mention of a steep drive and tired garden furniture also affects the score.
While a welcome pack is mentioned, which indicates thoughtfulness, there are insufficient details to fully assess this category. As gifts are not consistently referenced, it is polite to note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

Mrs Roberts
House comfortable but cold badly needs double glazing had the weather been better might have been a different story. When booking I asked about a mobility scooter hire for my husband and a lady at original cottages gave me dorset wheelchair hire services a Mr Wayne Jones do not recommend this person again as we were supplied with a mobility scooter unfit for use and had to find a new supplier and they took one look at this scooter and said not fit for purpose which is not the fault of original cottages but we went with that lady's recommendation.
Mr Green
A good property but let down by poor cleanliness and lack of basic household kitchen/bathroom soaps/dishcloths/washing up liquid etc. We had a good time, but would not recommend to anyone unless the maintenance is improved.
