Guests say

Guests appreciate the cottage's good standard of refurbishment, cleanliness, and its central location with proximity to shops and the beach. The property retains its charm despite some quirks like low ceilings. The modern bathroom and comfortable beds are noted, although some guests mentioned issues with thin towels and bedding. The lack of outdoor space and parking restrictions are drawbacks, but overall, the cottage is seen as a cosy base for exploring the area.

The cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, with guests mentioning a well-maintained bathroom and overall good condition. However, one guest found blocked water flow due to hair in the shower drain, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly regarded for its central position in the High Street, close to amenities and a reasonable walk to the beach. Parking is noted as a challenge due to restrictions, but a free car park is available nearby.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, though some mention the duvets are too warm and the pillows flat. The living space is considered small, and tall guests have bumped their heads, indicating some comfort concerns.

Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. However, guests suggest improvements such as better towels, additional pillows, and maintenance issues like the need for shower tray sealing and a shower door.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the owner, so it is not possible to assess this category.

We really enjoyed it and are looking at coming back next year. The cottage is in the perfect location. Only a couple of things I would mention is that it’s listed with on road parking which implies you can park outside. This is true however you can only stay an hour. There is parking in the free car park a few minutes walk away. We did get a starter pack for the fire but we were only given one log I would have expected a few more as we didn’t bring any with us on the first day. Lastly a fire glove would be useful as the stove does get partially hot to open when in use for a little while. Overall we had a fabulous stay and we would highly recommend this little cottage. We can’t wait to come back x
