This endearing little stone and pantile semi-detached cottage lies in the grounds of the owner’s home in the sleepy village of Hutton Buscel, five miles from the seaside town of Scarborough. Creatively converted from an old barn, this Hutton Buscel cottage makes the perfect romantic hideaway for couples wanting peace and quiet, but to be within a few minutes’ drive to the coast and the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park. Offering cosy and rustic ground-floor accommodation, this cottage near Scarborough oozes charm and character, with exposed stonework, flagged floors and beamed ceilings. The quirky open-plan living area has an original brick fireplace housing a warming woodburning stove, whilst above is a small mezzanine accessed by ladder steps. Outside this North York Moors cottage is a small patio garden overlooking the village, an ideal spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. From this Hutton Buscel cottage, there are excellent walking and cycling opportunities, and you can spend time at nearby Dalby Forest with trails for all abilities. Just five miles away is popular Scarborough with its sandy beaches, pretty parks, gardens and traditional seaside fun. A lovely walk can be had from North Bay to South Bay, with the castle looming above on the cliff top, from where lovely views of the sea and famous bay can be seen. With the historic market towns of Pickering, Malton and Helmsley an easy drive away and with miles of countryside to explore, The Barn is well located for a varied and enjoyable holiday.
