Holyhead, the largest town on Anglesey, is notable for being the principal ferry terminal to Ireland. The town is steeped in history, with Roman town walls and forts, mediaeval burial chambers and stone village foundations. There's plenty to see and do, with the disused quarry of Breakwater Country Park, the seals that frequent the Holyhead shore, and the world's largest breakwater, 1.8 miles long, which defends the port. Dublin is only 90 minutes away by swift ferry.

    Excellent all round

It was spotlessly clean and the location is wonderful, walking distance to a fabulous beach which has toilets and food available . (we had a hog roast sandwich one day there) The area is excellent for birdwatching with footpaths through heather moorland. The games room is well equipped and we enjoyed the hot tub every day. Because the owner lives nearby we were able to contact him when necessary. There was plenty of space for our bikes and cars. Its easy and quick to drive into Holyhead and access a large Tesco and Asda. We had a wonderful time.

Very nice welcome food parcel. Beautiful views and outlook surrounding the house with great gardens. Made very welcome from Tilly the most friendly cat we have ever seen. Would definitely recommend this property if you want a rural holiday close to the sea .
