What our customers say about their holidays

Perfect little cottage for a couple and a dog.
Despite being in the heart of the village it is really quiet and private with a delightful good sized and very dog secure shingled courtyard garden right next to the church yard. In terms of location, it couldn't be better, with a small general shop and an excellent butcher just across the road. A few hundred yards away is a really dog friendly pub with large garden and an excellent menu. We ate there several times during the week. The walk to Par sands beach is a pleasant 15-20 min stroll down a hill. The beach itself is a doggy paradise. We found a nice loop walk which takes about 45 mins. The accomodation has everything you need and is cosy, comfy and very clean with well proportioned and equipped modern kitchen and bathroom. The upstairs is quirky, with a low ceiling bedroom area and a separate spacious dressing room/cot room. A stair gate was provided which was useful to keep our two small dogs downstairs. We loved sliding into the large and comfortable bed at night but anyone with physical disabilities may find it a challenge with the low pitched roof and open steps. The owner Mark was a pleasure to deal with and answered any queries promptly by text. There is no off road parking but we had no problem parking directly opposite and there was always a space on our return from days out. In short, a real gem of a cottage and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. (Please note there is no sea view from the cottage despite the icon in the description......a minor point).

Ner Sea is a lovely comfortable, and thoughtfully planned cottage.
It has a sea view, which we absolutely loved, and to be honest weren't expecting, so it was a wonderful surprise. We were so impressed with the view, we decided to go and buy some binoculars, and believe it or not, we found a suitable pair in the Charity Shop in Marazion. The wood burner was one of the main reasons that we decided on this cottage, together with the fact that logs are supplied in the rent. We were not disappointed. The log store was very well stocked, which came in very handy, as the weather was pretty dreadful for the 2 weeks we were there. Fog, hale, snow, sleet, rain and wind were all experienced in the fortnight that we were in Cornwall. However, this charming cosy cottage, meant that on days that were too awful to venture very far, we could spend a wonderful time indoors, just "chilling". Jenny, the housekeeper is wonderful, and looked after us very well. It is great having her so nearby, in the case of problems. Not that we experienced any during our stay. The small electric heaters supplied, were also a lovely touch, as it helped warm the bedroom/landing up nicely. The position of this cottage is truly wonderful, and everything is easily accessible by car. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cottage for a lovely romantic break. It is quiet, well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.

The cottage is situated in beautiful Marazion and is within easy reach of all the places we wished to explore.
The views from the bedroom, overlooking St Michaels Mount are particularly lovely. The cottage itself was perfect for us, it was tastefully furnished, warm and comfortable and a high standard of cleanliness was apparent. Everything you may need for a self catering holiday was provided for and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, biscuit treats, tea, coffee and sugar and fresh milk. The WiFi was great. There was an instruction booklet for all appliances which was useful. Jenny the housekeeper lives a few doors away, she is very friendly and gave us some great tips on places to visit. We would have loved to have lit the wood burner to enjoy that romantic feel to the cottage on our evenings in but the nights were just too warm. Whilst the inside of the cottage was lovely, it is fair to say that the 4 levels to the garden area need some attention in order for couples to really enjoy the experience of sitting out during the good weather if they so wish. The car parking space to the rear of the property is narrow, but it is not the size of the space that gave us a problem but the poor quality and unevenness of it, with a low down car this became quite stressful in trying to get into the road without scraping the car valance. There is no alternative parking anywhere in Marazion.

From the street the cottage looks small. Do not be deceived! Once inside and beyond the lobby you are in a very large and well appointed lounge area. Comfy sofas and some rugs on the enormous stone flags. Huge log burner in the fireplace (not used but, looks like it would be great in the colder months). Large TV above sideboard so, if is raining or you just want to chill or watch TV, you're sorted. Dining room and kitchen are big enough and have all of the facilities you need. Storage is a bit "tight" but, just rearrange a bit and you should be ok (we did, we were). Bathroom has a great shower and everything else you need. Main bedroom to the front is large and houses a superking bed. I think there is a second bedroom but, we didn't have access to it. From the outside this looks to be quite large. The garden is a peaceful haven but, was being changed/updated when we were there. Sure the stairs are steep but, its just how it was when the property was built. Parking can be a pain but we managed to park in the street every day. The walk to the car park in the square is 5 minutes so, not the end of the world. Enjoy your stay, we recommend it!

A very good location for this quirky cottage, right in the centre of the small town and easy to get to all the local attractions. Parking is on the street and while occasionally we couldn't park right outside, generally we had no problems with this. The cottage was well-equipped, the kitchen had everything needed for a week's stay and the shower was very good. A large and comfy bed as well. The stairs are very narrow and difficult to negotiate for anyone with mobility issues. However it is in need of some TLC throughout, as while the place was clean, it looks tired and would benefit from some fresh paint and updating on some of the fixtures like blinds. The garden is particularly bad and looked like it had not been touched all summer. It was so overgrown with weeds that it made it unusable during our stay which was disappointing as we booked this based on the photos so our dog could go outside into the enclosed garden. The front outside area was also full of weeds and with all the bins there does not give a good first impression.
