  We’ve had a lovely stay at cuckoo Cottage this week. It's very well equipped and has felt like a real ‘home from home’. Coming back to the warm, cosy cottage after a day’s walking (in sometimes inclement weather) has been great – Little touches like the soft, luxurious Towels and even the jolly kitchen table cloth have made us feel very welcome. The third member of our party, your Stan (the wire-haired Fox Terrier) has greatly enjoyed the bed under the radiator – exactly what’s required after exertion on Holkham beach! We’ve walked every day – Salthouse Heath & Marshes, Sheringham Park, Blakeney, Wiveton Down, Cley, Felbrigg Estate & Metton, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham Hall & Beach and Glandford/Bayfield Hall. We say it every time we visit Holkham Beach “It doesn’t get much better than this” - huge vistas, sea, sky, sand and a happy Terrier. Then again, people say the same to us when they visit the district, albeit replacing ‘Sky’ and ‘Sea’ with ‘Hills’ & ‘Dales’. So, as I write this watching the flames flicker in the stove, it’s time to consider our next trip to Norfolk, which I suspect won’t be too far away.   A well equipped cottage in a lovely village. Spotlessly clean. Traffic noise was a little off putting especially as we live in the middle of nowhere and aren’t used to it. Be aware that there is no parking at the property and you leave your car 500 meters or so away in the free village car park. Having to park with hazard lights on to offload personal belongings every day was a nuisance and dangerous at times especially on such a busy road. The owners left us some delicious biscuits and milk with coffee, tea and sugar which was a nice treat after long days out. The deep bath and over head shower were great and a useful wc just off the rear entrance. Great location for travelling to all parts of Norfolk for days out.

  We had a lovely family holiday at Cuckoo Cottage! Fantastic location, nice and close to the centre of Blakeney. A play park 5 mins walk away was perfect for our 2 young children too, as well as a lovely local bakery for the fresh pastries. Blakeney is a great location for a local beaches too, Sheringham and Wells Next To The Sea. The Blakeney regatta was taking place when we stayed too, which was fun to watch and take part in! The cottage has great facilities, including washing machine and dishwasher. Parking is a little walk away, bear in mind for your stay. Small courtyard was handy for drying washing too. Lovely stay and lovely cottage thank you.

  Highly recommend Dotty’s cottage, and beautiful Blakeney! Myself, my wife, my two teenage sons and two little dogs had a fabulous stay (despite the dismal British summer weather…!) The location is great, easy enough to walk to the local pubs, restaurants, supermarket and beautiful sea front walks. An easy drive from other towns, villages and other points of interest and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dotty’s cottage, it is far more spacious than we anticipated, very clean, comfortable and has everything needed for a comfortable, pleasant stay! Will definitely visit again, hopefully soon!

  Happy New Year! Thank you the cottage was perfect for us - we keep returning to this part of Norfolk and will happily & comfortably stay at Cuckoo Cottage again. There were 1000s of seal pups on at Blakeney Point a great trip on New Year's Day. We enjoyed a couple of meals at The Bluebell at Langham - Great pub and food - thanks for the recommendation. Enjoyed some of our favourite places / walks - Holt, Cley, Cromer, Wells & Holkham. We were so lucky with the weather - wild and big blue skies. Thank you again and warm regards.
