What our customers say about their holidays
Susan - Verified booking
On arriving at the apartment we could not get into the property as Mr Power had not sent us the key code .
Having contacted Mr Power he said he had sent it . Getting in touch with Sykes, as we lost contact with Mr Power, it was made apparent that he or Sykes had the wrong phone number. I have no complaint with Sykes as they did their best and did get in touch with him. Having gained access to apartment on first impressions it looked very nice ,pictures décor. but , to our dismay opening the fridge it had not been cleaned from last occupants, there was frozen rolls left in freezer, bread left in the bread bin ,a frying pan left in the oven half full of oil, the oven smelled. Cooker top was greasy .Cutlrey was greasy handles. That was first on looking in the apartment .Mr Power was informed ,he assured us he would send someone the next day to get the whole place cleaned ,he did apolagise and said he had no problems with the company that cleaned before and thought that it must have been because it was the last apartment to be cleaned and they rushed it, and he wouldn't be using them again ,and that he would be getting his sister in law to go in and clean it .Im sure it would of being a case of getting the "Cleaning Company " back in there and doing the job they were paid to do in the first place ??.Not his sister in law .He also said when he got back from his weekend away he would call on us to ee if everything was ok .He Did not. Next day we were out the frying pan had been cleaned extra towels had been left ,a spray of something to make it seem something had been done I can assure you it was not. and the toilet roll holder was also broken and was not fixed ether. Looking back I feel we should have asked for a transfer, but we thought we would just get on with the holiday and enjoy our time up there.I have just lost my husband to kidney cancer and this was a break for me with my friends ,so we didn't want to spend our time on phone calls sorting stuff out, I cleaned the fridge out only used the top of the cooker a couple of times.there are a few other niggley cosmetic things need doing in the place but ive gone on enough.Needless to say we enjoyed our time going out and made best of our holiday,Thankyou .

The Flat is in a great location right near to the harbour and Bridlington spa.
When arrived easy to get into the property with the key boxes easy to locate. We had come up as are moving to the area and was measuring up at the house we are buying and spent a few days getting to see what the area has to offer. We settled in on first glance all seemed ok. But once unpacked and settling in. could see that the cleaning of the bathroom leaves a'lot to be desired shower head has lime scale and cobwebs on the ceiling. Black mould on the edges inside and outside toilet is not secure to the floor as moves when sitting on it. Also fittings in bathroom rusty soap holder toothbrush holder and glass dirty. shower needs changing as can't direct the head to point down and inside looks like needs updating ie refitting with proper tiles! Kitchen is nice but i would suggest getting new untensils as the cheap plastic ones look grim. Also inthe cupboard the coffe tea and sugar jars should be empty not have sugar and someone elses teabags left in? Oven was grim dirty glass and needs cleaning inside. other than that a nice kitchen. Bedrooms well both beds could do with being replaced with newer beds and better quality mattresses. The bedroom on the top floor well that bed is rubbish first night i got into bed withing 30 mins 6 slats came out and the mattress sank down? i put them back in and got back in bed happened again. fixed it but decided to sleep on the other side which was more secure. Also there was a slat broken underneath the bed which was done before i arrived not noticed by anyone cleaning the room. The room would be nicer if wasn't used as storage room for travel cot and hoover and high chair! could have a nice sofa in that room and also be nice to have a tv in the room to?. Also rooms need a bit of tlc on the walls as have scuff marks and dents in the wall!

First of all a hiccup with the txt details for entry to the property, I had to phone the owner again on arrival as not heard anything, (the details were sent to the wrong mobile number!
!). Due to only spending 3 nights at the property with my daughter and 2 granddaughters the following was not reported to the owner as I did not want to waste our holiday reporting things that should have been obvious to whoever does/does not do the cleaning/checking between 10 am and 3 pm. The kitchen sink and underside of the washing up bowl were filthy with grease and food residue (good job you can get rid of most of this with hot water and watered down washing up liquid as there were no cleaning products available). This made me check the rest of the property which revealed no dusting had taken place, all surfaces and lamps etc had more than 1 weeks dust on them. The (uncomfortable I might add) sofa had food crumbs on it and even more underneath it. The shower head did not fit in the holder so as soon as you turned it on it shot out and landed on the floor, the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned. The bedroom on the same level as the living space has absolutely no clothes storage at all. The bedroom on the upper landing does have clothes storage but no mirror? Are we all supposed to mingle in and share storage and mirrors (I don't think so), also the blind in this bedroom was broken on arrival. We had a lovely time in Bridlington itself but would not recommend this apartment unless standards are improved, please make sure you publish this feedback as I feel as though I stayed in a totally different place to the other reviews that said it was incredibly clean and tidy, or maybe my standards are different.

Mixed review.
We stayed in Lazy Daze lodge in Bridlington. The lodge itself was lovely and clean, smelt fresh and new when we opened the door (I believe they were only installed in 2021). It took us a few minutes to find the key safe as it blends in (itâs almost opposite the door attached to the fence). Everything worked fine. The âkettleâ in the kitchen was a little odd, itâs a drinks machine which boils water very quickly, but the water quantity vs mug size doesnât match, so you either end up with half a cup, or it overflows. The main downside to this lodge is itâs position. Itâs right next to a busy main road, there is a small hedge in between, but that doesnât stop the noise. Thereâs a constant flow of traffic (cars, lorries, tractors, farming machinery) all day long from around 5.30am until 10pm. Oh, and on some days the drain cleaning lorry arrives at 7am and empties the drain system directly behind Lazy Daze lodge. Thankfully the road does quieten down overnight, but we couldnât wait to leave the lodge during the day to get away from the constant drone of traffic. Hazy Daze lodge is the lodge next door, so itâs a little bit further away from the road, but I donât think it will be much better than Lazy Daze as far as road noise is concerned. We will not be going back to Lazy Daze because of the road noise, which is a shame as the lodge itself is lovely.

Having stayed in many different forms of holiday accommodation over the years, we have seen many different standards.
The house while vast needs an awful lot of work doing to it to make it somewhere people would choose, especially when you consider the amount it costs for the week. Whilst some of the refurb has been done, there are many aspects that with little outlay would have made the houses unfinished appearance acceptable. Yes bed linen and towels were provided but there were no cushions to the large sofa for the back and the other two were so worn you sank into them and struggled to get out. The house was cold especially in the evening, which was due to both having windows that were broken and doors that needed repair or replacement. There were no instructions for anything in the property, and no welcome pack so the basics were unavailable such as dishcloth, dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid and bin bags. We had to assume which bin to use, as no explanation regarding general waste and recycling. Curtains did not all fit the windows and some rooms did not have any or a blind. Making privacy an issue for some of us. Overall a disappointment, and somewhere we wouldnât recommend.
