Have just returned from spending a week in this lovely property. We were a party of 9 of mixed ages, old & young. On arrival the house was warm & cosy with the wood burning stove already set to light which we did! In the kitchen we found the most amazing & luxurious welcome hamper filled with local bread, cake, scones etc also in the fridge, butter, milk, chocolates & Prosecco! the best we have experienced and very very much appreciated by all. Onto the property itself, all five bedrooms are on-suite with good quality bedding & very comfy beds. The living room is cosy with ample seating, dining room large with it’s wood burning stove was great for meals & gathering round the table of a night for games. Kitchen was well laid out & equipped with a great utility room just off it. The wrap round conservatory was really nice but as it was cold we only managed one lunch it on a nice sunny day, it would be fantastic in the summer months. We used the Kota one evening to toast marshmallows which was great fun, again would be fab in the warmer months. We had one dog with us and were amazed that even she was well catered for too with a doggy welcome pack of treats, blanket, drying towel etc The house is in walking distance to the Main Street which has a Co-op, bakery, newsagent & choice of restaurants (Indian x 2, Fish & Chip shops x 3, we preferred Neptune’s lol) great walks along Bamburgh beach, again only minutes from the house. We’ve been to Seahouses many times over the last ten years or so and this by far has been the the best property we have had the pleasure to stay in, a credit to the owners David & Caroline who have lovingly renovated this beautiful property. I highly recommend booking with Coquet Cottages too, this was the second time I had booked with them and the process was smooth & friendly with excellent communication throughout. This was a really practical house for multiple families to stay in - with 5 really good sized bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The kitchen is really well appointed and the dining space is brilliant. There are beautiful views from the upstairs, you can see the sea and lots of open farmland with a lovely stables behind the house. There are thoughtful touches throughout the house, with rooms not having their own en suite having dressing gowns for privacy and a lovely welcome pack that was a great start to the holiday. The kitchen is packed with everything you could possibly need in terms of utensils and equipment and the two dishwashers are brilliant. A couple of comments to make people aware of before they book - there are a few rules to follow. The hot tub is only 9am-9pm which was disappointing, dogs must be crated if left alone in the property despite the whole downstairs being stone floors, and there is no grass enclosed at the property if you are bringing dogs. There is grass around the property to the front but not as part of the garden. You also aren’t allowed to charge your cars - despite there being no real alternatives nearby. Also, you have to strip all the beds and be out the house by 9am, which is a little unreasonable. Seahouses itself is beautiful - there is plenty to do, to see, the food is brilliant regardless of what you are looking for. We can’t recommend the boat trip to the Farne Islands highly enough and we walked to Bamburgh along the beach and it was brilliant. The house is a short walk from both the town centre and the beach, making it ideally situated for both!

The property itself was beautiful and very comfortable.
It was in a great location and had everything we needed for a week stay. The only slight niggle was the parking. The property was advertised as having a designated parking space but thereâs no information about where this is. On arrival I reversed around the back of the property and was met with multiple signs (presumably put up by the neighbour) all of which giving instruction on where not to and how not to park. These signs actually made things more confusing. It would have been helpful to have a little sign from the cottage themselves indicating where to park and actually putting the information in the guest book or on the email with key safe code etc. I saw on a previous review online where the owner of the cottage had responded to a comment about parking by saying that information for parking was in the guest booklet but it actually isnât. I picked this particular cottage on this occasion because it had a parking space as I was on holiday with my elderly mother who would struggle with walking too far. I expected the space to be small but I was surprised that even my Mini just fit within the space. Overall, we had a lovely week at the cottage and I would definitely book again regardless of the small space to park in.

Hare's Form is an absolutely beautiful, cosy cottage.
From the moment we walked in we felt at home. I really liked the decor and the furnishings, at the same time modern and homely. The window in between the kitchen and the living room was especially charming, as were the stone walls. We didn't use the log burner (we are incompetent townies!) but I can imagine it makes it absolutely gorgeous when it's on. The positioning of the cottage also excellent both for the centre of the village and for walking the surrounding coast. I highly recommend this cottage! The only point I would highlight as a negative are the bins. The rubbish hadn't been collected for a while and so we had no room for our own rubbish and had to leave a separate bin bag on top of the wheelie bin. I understand if no one is in the cottage on bin day they might not be emptied, but having no where to put food waste is not ideal. The parking is also a bit tricky. Once I got used to it I was fine, but I would definitely emphasise it needs to be a small car as the easiest way to get in and out of the space is to reverse in round a corner between a wall and a house.

A lovely big house and garden with top quality linens, comfortable beds and furniture. I had heard that the area around Seahouses was lovely, The Old Manse was dog friendly and big enough to accommodate our extended family as well as being tastefully decorated. The garden was big and safe for the children. We were delighted with the house. We had plenty of space to spread out or all come together. Top class garden furniture. The kota was a novelty and we cooked in it a few times when the weather was warm/hot it was a bit too smokey to stay inside. We liked the big garden and the garden furniture. Some very nice holiday homes have garden ‘stuff’ as an after though ie not very nice but here we were able to enjoy a few warm summer evenings sitting outside chatting – wonderful! The large conservatory was great when it was raining and very child friendly. The TV in the sitting room was also pretty impressive. We also loved the area and visited some of the more famous sights. The beach at Bamburgh near that golf club was our favourite.
