  The cottage appeared to be clean on available, but it came apparent the bathroom had not been cleaned appropriately for sometime.

  It was evident a cloth had been sweeped across the bathroom , but the shower had black mould around joints and rust on the shower head. The toilet had an horrible bad drains smell, the sink had black mould around the joints and the corner bath plug had a large amount of dark long hair booking the flow of the water when attempting to empty the bath. The kitchen only had one roasting tray so made matters difficult to cook a roast dinner. No mop or hoover, no plug for kitchen sink which was a light brown colour. The floors had not been moped. I purchased a mop, brush and dust pan plus a baking tray. We did ask for a mop and brush which we did receive only to find on r retrun home from a day out that they had removed it from the cottage. I spent my valuable holiday time purchasing toilet blocks, bathroom cleaner, mopping the cottages floors and cleaning the bathrooms but not the shower because it just made me feel sooo unclean. The towel radiator had rust all over it The toilet blocks helped remove the horrible drain smell , the hair removed from.the corner bath and bathroom nice and clean and no mould in sight, except the shower. The baking tray l purchased helped to make up an evening meal without stressing. I am able to provide photos. Would like some money back for the time wasted cleaning the bathroom etc

  We had a number of problems throughout our holiday. The front door keys were very difficult to remove from the lock, so we had to use the back door to enter and exit the property. On arrival, the internet was not working. The remote controls to the upstairs tv and set top box did not work. We were unable to access Netflix and Disney+ on the tv. The internal bathroom door handle detached from the door, leaving one of our party trapped inside. The bathroom door would only open partially, because the floor was stopping it. We had no hot water on the final three days of our holiday. This was fixed once, but was not working the next day. We had to phone about these problems on 5 of our 8 days in the property. We think it unlikely that you will include our review on the website, but we would appreciate it if you would ask the owners to consider a partial rental refund to compensate for the problems arising.

  My husband and I had a wonderful week staying at The Arc. The cottage is immaculate and all the facilities were excellent and of a very high standard. The beds were so comfortable and the furnishings very attractive. We were provided with towels and tea towels and some coffee, tea bags milk and biscuits which was a nice gesture. The garden is a shared garden with the property next door which may be a consideration for privacy. Other than that a "perfect stay" . The cottage is quiet and restful. there is a Spar supermarket one minute up the hill providing everything you need Original Cottages provided excellent customer service and all the necessary information to use and access the property A highly recommended property.

  Tuppence view was beautiful inside, though nothing to look at outside, and very comfortably kitted out. The glass staircase, though not a surprise, was a nightmare to negotiate and the dog has to be carried up and down. The small yard was not fenced off though it was supposed to be. Once in Swanage which was a very interesting place, we discovered other holiday lets to be much cheaper. We wouldn't return to Tuppence because of the glass stairs but we would return to Swanage and check with your competitors for a cheaper let. I have been with you before and have always found your properties to be excellent but in these times I feel you need to be more competitive.

  Generally we were more than satisfied with this property which we have stayed in previously and have booked again later this month. We would like to point out that the light switches at the top of the stairs from the kitchen to the lounge do not work. This means that at night, we had to go down into the kitchen in the dark before we could turn a light on. Also, the Expelair in the bathroom does not work which means everything gets steamed up. Obviously, we would not want these comments to be made public because everything else in the property is great but it would be helpful if they could be fixed. Thank you
