  We absolutely love Coco Beach and have now stayed twice. The house is perfectly situated for the beach and bodyboarding and the hot tub very handy for when the English weather is less favourable - a quick drive back from the beach and straight into the hot tub to warm up! My daughter has done the beach ride at Follyfoot stables (just up the road) twice and loved it - just beware it’s a 7am start! Also a great base for visiting and sightseeing including the must-do Clovelly, local villages including the lively Appledore and for CBBC Mallory Towers lovers, Hartland Abbey. Quick walk into Westward Ho! and small Tesco which had fresh croissants each morning. The house is comfortably furnished and very well equipped - smart TVs, good range of kitchen items including sharp knives, good chopping boards, electronic scales etc, and a good stock of loo roll!

  This property is excellent - spotlessly clean, on a nice quiet estate not too far from the lovely walks of the Northam Downs and beach. The estate is quite new and seems to be mainly holiday lets. It does have a main road behind it but you only tend to hear this if outside. The house has everything - you literally only need take your food and toiletries. The garden and hot tub are especially lovely - I would definitely visit this property again. The weather definitely helped as we had a lovely week for April - so could enjoy sitting out on the patio set and used the hot tub every day. Walkable to town where there are some lovely places to eat - but the house is so comfortable and welcoming, its nice just to stay in and chill.

  Apparently, following some redecoration, the property had been left without heat for some days and was very cold and still with out any heating on when we arrived.

  In our view, the electric wall mounted heaters would never be adequate in early spring, winter and late autumn mainly because of the high pitched ceilings in the living room and bedroom[i.e. heat rises].The wood burning stove is nice idea and very fashionable but, in practise, was difficult to light and 'ate' wood with out adding much to the warmth of the main living and sleeping areas.If the current system is going to be retained we suggest in the cold season a good electric fan heater is provided in lieu of the log burner.We,in fact, left a day early to avoid another evening and night at Beech cottage.The enormous TV was also much too big for a small living room.

  We stayed at Beech Cottage for a 5 day break around New Year.

  Very nice location in quiet lane overlooking lovely countryside. The log burner was most welcome . We took our dog Bueno with us , who enjoyed some great walks. We also took our bikes & dog trailer which Debbie, owner kindly let us store in her garage. You do need to take a torch with you, as the one in the cottage isn't great. There wasn't a comments book in the cottage, so could you please pass on our thanks for the prosecco Debbie left for us. A really enjoyable stay lucky too with the weather only rain once.   We had a beautiful stay at Blackbird Cottage.

  Vinti was lovely, she made sure we had everything we needed and left a fabulous hamper of goodies for our arrival. The cottage is like something out of a novel - it has amazing character and is filled with books and interesting nooks and crannies. In between showers I spent some time sitting in the hammock in the garden sketching the cottage and it was a lovely way to pass some time. Appledore is just up the road, a very pretty town with some cute little shops and galleries. Johns deli/cafe has unbelievable pasties, brownies and croissants. It's a good thing I was only visiting as I'd be the size of a house if I lived anywhere nearby!
