Certainly not your average town, Glastonbury is described by many as a New Age Community and well known for its iconic Tor. This quirky town is an unusual pace to explore on a last minute weekend break. A trip here wouldn't be complete without a walk up Glastonbury Tor. Although steep in sections the views are more than worth it. The wind can really get going at the top so a kite would be a great addition to any day out here.
The high street in town sells all manner of curiosities from spiritual shops to second-hand wonders. The bakery and cafes here are second to none. From here you can visit Glastonbury Abbey, the Chalice Well and the Somerset Rural Life Museum. Glastonbury is also only a walk away from the Somerset Levels. If you visit from the Autumn to February the starling displays are a sight to behold. No matter how long you stay for, Last Minute Cottages has beautiful late availability accommodation for your holiday.
