  Comfortable and cosy cottage with everything you need. We didn’t receive a welcome pack but probably as we booked the afternoon the day before. Loo roll would have been appreciated though!! I spent my childhood in holt & this cottage is in a great location - it’s quiet even though near main Norwich road. Great to have parking - reversing out takes care it’s easier when the 2 other spaces are empty! We weren’t bothered by too many people walking down the lane to access Budgens (so handy for bobbing out to) via the gate or looking in from the other cottages at the back from their outdoor seating. Guess privacy might be an issue if all cottages were full. Holt has some fantastic pubs and restaurants. Try ‘meadowsweet’ a few doors down if you want a blow out. Honestly the best Michelin starred restaurant I’ve eaten in. Good lunch deals. Byfords being refurbed to be all restaurant space with no deli or take out so that’ll be missed. The coast is just a few miles away. The cottage is a perfect base to explore everything north Norfolk has to offer.

  We had previously stayed at the cottage opposite, and had always admired this cottage and were very surprised that it was up for rental. We arrived not knowing what to expect and were completed amazed at how beautiful the cottage was, and how clean and well set out. Whoever arranged all the little finishing touches with pictures and little ornamental touches made us feel very at home and should be complimented. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed many hours enjoying the lovely weather on the patio. Holt is one of our favourite places but we did spend most days out but always came back to the country park to enjoy a doggy walk and cup of tea. We have had a lovely week and have booked again for next year. Many thanks for sharing your home with us.

  Lovely cottage in a fabulous location, considering it’s in town it was very peaceful, my only issue was the double bed, very uncomfortable and so I ended up in the twin room after the first 2 nights but understand beds are very subjective, supermarket was just through the gate so very handy, lots of places to visit within a half hour drive, parking wasn’t an issue for us as the third car decided to park elsewhere so we just reversed in everytime and didn’t have an issue, however if you have a big car it could be a problem!! We visited Sheringham on the steam train, a couple of NT properties, Cley next the Sea and Cromer. Byfords is fab for breakfast. Didn’t use the outside area as not very private and seating a bit poor.

  Excellent ,cottage, really clean, well-organised, thoughtfully put together, Holt is both a great village and a perfect base for exploring. We ent walking at Cley-Next-The-Sea & Salthouse, Wells-Next-The-Sea and Holkham, Sandringham Royal Estate and Old Hunstanton, Sherringham & Weybourne. via the N.Norfolk railway and Blakeney/Wiverton downs. Great walking countryside. It was nice to have a BBQ here in the garden. In town, the Kings Head and the Chubby Seal Craft Beer bar were both good, Casa Blanca for a relaxed glass of wine and Byfords, superb for meals, takeaway pizzas and also pies and pastries. Had a good curry from Taste of India too. A lovely week at Daisy Cottage.

  Whilst there were only 2 of us, the additional space & extra bedroom gave us more space and we actually stayed in more, enjoying the beautiful cosy cottage. it was well maintained, beautiful comfy bed, linens and thick soft bath towels. The lounge had 2 x comfy sofas & the kitchen had everything needed for a short break. PERFECT! The cottage was exactly as it looked in the brochure/website but overall "exceeded" expectations for things that a photo can't depict. I would highly recommend Norfolk Cottages and will certainly be renting with them again.
