What our customers say about their holidays

Coney Garth Cottage was perfect in every way for our visit to Cumbria.
Our accommodation was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. A bottle of Fizz, biscuits and freshly made scones awaited our arrival. The hot tub was a real luxury , particularly after a day of walking and exploring the Area around the Lake District. The cottage had itâs own car parking space , patio and patio furniture which in the afternoon was a real sun trap. It was a self catering cottage and because I do not like to shop too much whilst on holiday, I packed sufficient supplies for the week including dishwasher and washing machine tablets, dish cloth etc etc . As they say â everything but the kitchen sink. There is a very friendly pub in Beckermet called the Royal Oak which serves delicious food . If you need to shop, Egremont is close by . We also went to Gosforth where thereâs a very well equipped supermarket, a local bakery and a cafe called Yam Frae Yam which I highly recommend but as it is small , booking is recommended. All in all, we loved the cottage and do hope that we will be able to visit in the future.

Lovey cottage set in a beautiful little town.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and well laid out with washing machine, dishwasher and two bathrooms (with 2 teenagers thatâs a must). Decorated to a high standard and with lots of little touches to make it feel special. We all loved the hot tub which was a really nice addition to the cottage. Hosts Julie & Geoff were amazing, with lots of advice on things to do, and some special treats when we arrived including a bottle of bubbly!! Julie also brought some delicious home made scones and cakes one of the afternoons which was a lovely touch. A short walk from the cottage, we ate twice in the local pub where they served lovely food. Highly recommend staying here, we all had a very relaxing break and would definitely go back again.

This is a beautiful charming cottage and the perfect place to come back to after a day exploring the lakes!
!!! We stayed for 3 nights and it felt like home from the second we arrived after receiving a lovely welcome from the owners. The facilities are great with a well equipped kitchen for those evenings cooking and lazy breakfasts. Hot tub is perfect after a long day exploring and nice and private. The bottle of fizz provided was a perfect touch. Nice outside seating area to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or enjoy a book too. The owners also have lots of information available to you for things to do and places to eat around the local area and are more than happy to help you with anything. I can't rate this highly enough and can't find any faults at all with it. 10/10 and would 100% stay again.

I was concerned that the door by the kitchen was difficult to unlock so that we never used it.
The front door lock was also difficult. I had to try two or three times to get the front door to unlock. This would be a terrible situation if there were a fire at night and one was rushing to get out of the house. I think you should change the locks to a more efficient type. The house is wonderful. I would replace the scratched Teflon frying pans and add more water glasses. The beauty of the house is a bit diminished by the plastic sign saying Hilltop which is starting to peel. The staff was wonderful at responding to our minor requests- an extension cord, replacing a fire alarm sensor, and a light bulb. We enjoyed the quiet and the privacy. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a terrific house.

We loved the cottage, loved the position, loved the hot tub and had a wonderful holiday.
A few things need updating. It was difficult to work the television and we even brought our own Apple TV but the set was so old we couldnât connect it. It was difficult to find channels that worked and, sometimes, to find any channels at all. The house needs a new bottle opener and it would be great to be provided with kitchen spray and cooking oil but weâll bring our own next time. A special mention for Tim at Graythwaite adventure - a highlight (of many) of our trip was the RIB tour of the lake. We also loved having access to the swimming pool and our oldest son actually learned to swim there. The house was brilliantly clean when we arrived and we had a fab time so thank you. Weâll be back!
