What our customers say about their holidays
Visitor September 2020 - Verified booking
My husband and I returned yesterday from your beautiful property in Skye having had the most fabulous time there.
I have been many times before however I was introducing my husband to the delights of the island. As you can imagine I was a little nervous having bleated on about the place for years that I had perhaps oversold it, however Skye & Teangue House did their absolute best and he is now as in love with the island as I am. I just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to rent your amazing property. We were blown away from the moment we stepped in with its jaw dropping views and how well it was appointed. We are keen walkers and the space and facilities you have were just perfect for the paraphernalia required to walk in the all-weathers that Scotland throws at you on a daily basis. We walked Skye top to bottom and side to side and whilst some of the drives were a little longer than others, it gave us the opportunity to see the island. Your lounge view in the evening however was always a perfect way to finish off the day........ and the small glass of something alcoholic was purely for medicinal purposes to ease the muscles!!! We were supposed to be travelling with friends however COVID put paid to that but we now have a perfect excuse to return....... if we ever needed another one to add the other substantial list of reasons to come back. Thank you again, you have a truly magnificent property and you've given us some quite amazing memories.

We really enjoyed our visit to Rarsaidh holiday cottage, the location was spectacular, just amazing.
just a few points to note, I would consider essentials like, salt, pepper, cooking oil and kitchen roll to be at hand. This property is 10 miles from the closest shop which is not always open, ie closes for lunch daily and closes on sundays, and thereafter the closest coop is a 40 mile round trip. thankfully we took all these "essentials" but other travellers may not be so well prepared. other items deemed "desirable" like milk, coffee, tea and extra bin liners may also be considered. the local pub in wintertime is only open thursday to sunday and only the bar area, so there was no where to eat out at all. not a worry for us, but worth noting for you to take absolutely everything you need. we had a bit of a problem with the heating which took us a couple of days to figure out but we got there in the end. unfortunately the gas fire stopped working after 2 days in and we called out the estate manager to help. he was super helpful and came out immediately to hoover the soot out of the fire and it was solved quickly, he was really helpful in every way. otherwise our stay was excellent, we appreciated the rural nature of the property and if travellers bear that in mind when choosing to book it, they too will have a lovely stay.

WOW!! What an amazing property
. Spotless, high spec throughout and a kitchen that any chef would die for, all located in a place with a view that I canât describe as it was so beautiful and changed with the weather throughout the day. The property is positioned perfectly for experiencing all the activities and places of interest around Skye, Raasay, and the mainland. Right next to the ferry to Mallaig , and 30 minutes drive for the 15 minute ferry ride to Raasay which is a unique place to visit. The house was cosy with underfloor heating and an easy guide left for boosting the central heating,so we returned each day to a luxurious retreat after the unpredictable weather conditions on Skye. Every detail of this property has been picked to deliver the best holiday experience and we canât wait to return soon

A beautiful cottage in a very remote part of the highlands, the ideal place to stay if you want total peace and quiet.
make sure you take everything you need with you as there is a 1 hour drive to the nearest co-op. only thing that let this otherwise perfect cottage down is the water pressure and plumbing. the water pressure is so low you cannot mix the hot and cold taps to have a shower. my wife and I had to run hot water into the bath first and then fill up with cold but took about 30 minutes to run a bath due to the water pressure. please do not let this put you off your stay as otherwise this is a perfect little cottage with some stunning views

In our opinion the property is superb.
It is an "upside-down" property with a lovely well appointed lounge with views across to the sea and some islands including Pabay and I think the south end of Raasay with the Scottish mainland in the distance. There are many nice touches and we have taken some photos to give us an idea or two for our own house. The kitchen is superb. Downstairs the bedrooms and bathrooms are great with another little lounge there. Although the Sykes photo of the external part of the property is accurate it does not really do the property justice.
