What our customers say about their holidays

Just back from a lovely week in this spotlessly clean cozy cottage which was well equipped with everything we needed except a couple of champagne flutes please!
The bedroom had nice quality furniture and a comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi signal was good. The bathroom had a good shower. The row of 3 barn conversations are situated in a quiet area off the road with parking. We did find the road could get quite busy for a B road and as itâs long and straight vehicles moved at speed especially during morning rush hour then again from school run time. This didnât disturb us but it did mean it wasnât safe to walk our 2 dogs along this road. Great location for touring around the pretty villages of the Cotswolds also conveniently placed for Blenheim Palace. Chipping Norton just up the road for shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the welcome pack including the dog treats which our dogs wolfed down. We also found the book of walks in the drawer helpful. The garden was very useful for the dogs. We would and very likely will stay in this cottage again whilst visiting family in the area combined with a break.

This is a lovely development of holiday cottages, quite private from the owners property, but they are there if you need them.
The people staying in the other two cottages were very nice which we appreciated, as you are on top of one another so to speak. We arrived to a generous welcome pack, wine, chocolates, cake, dog treats, plus coffee tea & milk so we could have a cuppa on arrival, as our Sainsbury's delivery would not be arriving until a bit later. Lovely flowers on the table also. Although surrounded by lovely countryside it is well placed for a quick drive down to Chipping Norton, the Aldi there is very handy. Great Tew is just down the road but we would not have walked there as all on the lane and cars did seem to drive quite fast along there. Also you can get to Broadway Tower (a must), and all the North Cotswold towns easily. Whichford Pottery is nearby. As regards cottage, it's very nicely fitted out, comfortable furnishings, very good appliances. The twin bedroom would benefit from some hooks to hang clothes on, had to use door frames and handles. Altogether a successful week.

The lovely stay in the Cotswolds was made possible by cosy Rose Cottage.
A complete and practical cottage, good place to start nice trips in the region. About Rose Cottage (and some reviews): - the boiler can be switched off during the night (Youâll find on/off switch in the toilet). - the bed size in the main sleeping room is âstandardâ. Like in many other UK houses and hotels. As Iâm 6 feet 7â(200cm) my feet are used hanging out of the bed. Naturally it will be appreciated that beds expand to 210 or 220 cm. But this will take time. In Holland I notice improvements. In the cottage shower and mirror are on good level (also often mounted quite low for large persons). - any comments, positive and/or negative can be written down in the guest book (please not only via review), and Sue also was nearby or on-line for questions. Sue knows about the issues mentioned above.

It was a very pleasant surprise to walk into Rose cottage and find that the pictures do not do it justice.
it is bigger than we had thought and has a lovely, cosy feel. The welcome pack was a treat and even had a little something for our dog, Milo. All the cooking utensils that we needed were provided and the books were well used as the weather wasn't the best. Dinner at the Falcon in Great Tew (a beautiful village) was fine although beware the starters, for us they were enormous! The location is excellent for visiting the many places of interest in the area. Boughton-on-the-Water model village and miniatures exhibition are well worth a visit as, of course, is Oxford. There are so may places to see and enjoy within less than an hour, and plenty to keep one occupied even in bad weather. All in all we had a lovely week at Rose Cottage and came back relaxed and refreshed; we will be back!

Exactly as described, everything you could possibly need.
The host Sue was great throughout the booking process and stay. The place is well suited for dogs with a good sized contained garden, the only negative for us was there wasnât anywhere on your doorstep to take the dogs out without getting into our car. There were no paths and it just wasnât safe to walk on the roads. That being said there were some amazing walks close by and Broadway Tower is a must for a great walk with or without a dog. We had snow during our break and we were very appreciative of the log burner at the cottage. The cottage had everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay and the welcoming bottle of red wine was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend Rose Cottage.
