Stable Cottage is praised for its high standard finish, contemporary yet cosy decor, and excellent location in a charming village, making it a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and comfortable furnishings, though some minor maintenance issues and cleaning oversights are noted.
Guests generally find the cottage clean, with no pet odours, but some mention areas with crumbs, dust, and cobwebs, indicating room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its quietness, convenience, and proximity to local amenities and attractions in the Cotswolds, making it an ideal spot for visitors.
The cottage is considered comfortable, with special mentions of fluffy towels and comfortable pillows. However, some guests note a wobbly toilet seat and a missing blind, slightly detracting from the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a large TV and good kitchen appliances. However, issues with incorrect rubbish instructions, slow internet, and a leaky skylight suggest some attention to maintenance is needed.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Northleach is located 8 miles north-east of Cirencester, 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford, on the Roman route known as the Fosse Way (A429). It is an ideal starting point for visiting these popular and lovely destinations. Northleach was formerly a bustling market town known across Europe as a significant hub for the Cotswold wool trade! The affluent wool merchants paid for the fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, which was erected using stone taken from the town's quarry and what is now the Market Square. The village has recently been featured in a number of films, notably the 2015 film Casual Vacancy.

Exactly what was described and communications with Sykes was 100%. Sorted an extension to our stay with no fuss a d genuinely sad to have to leave this beautiful wee place to come back to the norm it was that delightful. Beautiful people everywhere especially around the cottage in northleach a d a perfect location for outward travel by car to all over the cotswolds. Can't wait to take more family over to experience from belfast and Carnlough on the nort Antrim coast in Ireland.

The pillows were particularly comfortable! The double stairs would always be a bit of a challenge for anyone who might be disabled, but I'm sure this is made clear in the description. The directions about how to reach the Cottage however are not accurate. Stable Cottage sits opposite a road sign which says College Row but the description talks about the Cottage being on the left of this one way road, road rather than the right so a minor tweak on that front would help late arrivals like ourselves! Thanks
Thelma
It is very well located in a lovely village which offers everything you need. On arrival we discovered there was no Internet and after telephoning the local contact we were contacted by Sykes Cottages who offered us a 10% discount as compensation. The internet was reconnected shortly after but was so slow as to be almost impossible to use. We had to rely on the local coffee shop who had free WIFI to use the internet. We also had water dripping on us in bed from the small skylight window above which stained the pillow. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were really happy that we were in easy reach of all the local must see places.
