Guests say

Primrose Mount is a well-loved cottage boasting spectacular views of Lake Windermere and a prime location within walking distance to Bowness. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, ample private parking, and secure garden, ideal for dogs. While some find the decor dated, the charm and cleanliness often outweigh this aspect. The property's tranquility and stunning vistas make it a repeat choice for many visitors.

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it as clean and well-presented. However, a few guests mentioned issues such as dust, cobwebs, and a musty smell, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, privacy, and proximity to local amenities. It's a short stroll to town, and the secure parking is a bonus, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the property cosy, but some furnishings are noted as tired or low, which could pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. The need for additional warmth during colder months has been mentioned.

While the property is equipped for a comfortable stay, guests have suggested that it requires modernisation and better maintenance. Issues with heating, outdated garden furniture, and a lack of Wi-Fi have been noted.

There is insufficient information regarding the provision of gifts or additional thoughtful touches for guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for this category.

The view is spectacular, but we felt that some investment was needed (some windows hard to open - kitchen window won't open, single bedroom door stuck and decking rotting which could be dangerous) and the cleanliness was of a poor standard - dog hairs everywhere, dog had urinated in living room and king bedroom and there was an unacceptable amount of cobwebs around the whole property. That said, as we settled we began to forgive these issues as it was extremely comfortable, in particular the beds and couches. Both shower's are fantastic and the walk in shower cubicle great for disability. Fantastic amount and assortment of kitchen utensils, crockery and equipment was appreciated. Overall, while initially thinking how incredible Primrose Mount could be if modernised, it would no doubt be out of our budget then, so to have the opportunity to stay at somewhere with such a fantastic location and with that view was a pleasure and a privilege.

Great location with fantastic views Property was clean but looks a bit tired Plenty of parking which is a bonus in bowness & nice outside space, no WiFi which we were aware of and wasn’t an issue but probably would be if you’re under the age of 20

Close to everything’s. Not far to walk to town centre. However not very happy with some of the facilities. Only stayed for two nights. Couldn’t get any response from agent when we tried to contact them . Only recorded messages. Bins outside was full when we arrived.
