Not worth the high price we paid to stay there to be honest. Leaking radiators and showers. Cupboard doors with peeling areas etc. As mentioned in a previous review the en-suite bathroom has a drainage smell. Both bathrooms had mould patches on ceilings. Also main bedroom has an old mattress that sags in the middle. As I said, needs a bit of TLC. Just donât look too closely at anything. On the positive side it is a good sized lodge and has a clothes washer/dryer and dishwasher. Also there is a heated walk in wardrobe area in the main bedroom which is handy. Way to expensive for the quality.

We had a couple of issues regarding a rusty microwave/bowl and they were replaced very quickly after a phone call. We had to clean a few cupboards as some crumbs had not been cleaned up from previous guests. The lodge was well equipped and spacious. There was water damage on skirting in lounge but didnât affect our stay. The main bedroom was spacious but the mattress could do with replacing as it wasnât very comfortable. I would book again as overall it was a pleasant stay.

Now that the Lodge name plate (Forest Pines) is nowhere to be seen - but finding the Lodge is OK if you follow the directions. The Lodge is showing some signs of age - some significant cosmetic damage (heat / water) in kitchen, double mattress needs replacing (it's just about okay the moment), water leaks around shower over bath etc Most significant issue was the ensuite shower drain smells - it needs a really good clean and disinfect. This all sounds a bit negative - but overall it's a nice Lodge - it just needs some money spending on it! Would we rush back - No. Was it okay for the money - Yes.
