What our customers say about their holidays
Chris - Verified booking
A fantastic weekend away was had by all.
Everyone enjoyed themselves without a doubt. The property has everything you could need. The Chrismas trees and decorations were really appreciated. Just what we wanted. Most of the rooms offer spacious, comfortable surroundings. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. There is an AGA for cooking. If your not used to one of these, just keep an eye on what you are cooking. There is also a 4 ring electric hob which you can use. We managed to cook a large Christmas dinner with success. The turkey cooked in the AGA. The two living rooms are great if you want to escape from the crowds. There was 11 of us. The rooms are warm and comfortable once the heating kicks in. The benefits of the wood burner and oil burner gave a lovely setting. The majority of the bedroom's are spacious and comfortable. The stairs are quite steep, so not really good if you struggle with stairs. The little ones certainly liked the outside area, more so the small stream running to the front of the property. Despite it being December, they got their feet wet on more than one occasion. It was great to see them out and about and doing something other than sitting with a device in their hands. Anything you forget and might need to replenish, Denbigh offers you a choose of retail stores, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl. There not to far to travel to. Our first night, we had pizza delivered to the house. Details can be found in the folder. The host can supply additional wood for the log burner at a really good price. We couldn't fault our stay and would certainly stay again. Some great memories made.

Sykes misled us as it clearly states on the listing that it is in Broadhaven when it's actually miles from Broadhaven.
We made the booking on that basis so we were immediately disappointed with the location as we'd visited the area 3 yeaes ago and wanted to return there and not stay at Hasguard Cross. The shop didn't actually stock anything so it is pointless to promote a shop nearby as the nearest shop is miles away in Broadhaven. The house itself was nice, needed a little TLC in places but it was spotlessly clean apart from flies under the beds in the ground floor bedroom. It is classed as sleeping 8 which it does comfortably but there is not room for 8 to watch TV on the sofas. We were cold in the house and had no way of drying clothes or towels. I think there should have been information there in regards to the heating as we didn't get a response from emails sent requesting help with this from the owner or Sykes but apparently, as we found out on the last day, the boiler was in the garage next door and had to be turned on there. We were asked to complete a disclaimer for the hot tub which we did and it said the hot tub would be checked for the correct chemical balance numerous times during our stay but this was not checked for the whole week we were there. I think the property would benefit from a washing line and also ice cube trays. The little bar in the caravan park next door is lovely and serves delicious food a few nights each week, has a pool table too.

We had a brilliant stay at Ocean house.
The whole house was absolutely beautiful with lovely large rooms. We took all our own but loved all the little extra touches...coffee, sugar and tea bags. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs even washing powder was supplied. There is even an extra little fridge in the utility room wee used this as our beer fridge lol. Massive chest freezer for all your frozen things ice lollys in our case (we were blessed with hot hot hot weather) the hot tub was a massive hit with the kids lovely Dai checked the levels everyday so it was always clean and topped up. The BBQ was a great extra too so had a few good nights out sitting on the raised decking eating drinking and watching the sun do down. We were lucky to see the meteor shower while we were there as there is not much light pollution around. Would highly recommend staying at Ocean House it was worth the 8hour journey down from Scotland, beautiful house , lovely staff and plenty to do round about. Will certainly be back.

The location is good.
Thereâs plenty of dog walks and itâs close to the beach, the local shop and the local pub. The two things that let this property down for me were the cleanliness and the requirement for modernisation. The place needs a deep clean in some areas, the front room in particular, where the carpet badly needs replacing. The furniture throughout needs to be updated. The dining situation is poor, we ate out a lot but if we had been reliant on self catering then we would have struggled. The kitchen was great. The bedrooms sparse but functional. The bathroom was great. One other slight niggle was the thought of having to pay for electricity using a key at the local shop - in 2018 - really? Overall Iâd say just a bit more effort and this place could be great but in its present state it was overall only an ok for me. That said we had a great holiday, as we know the area very well, however next time itâs unlikely weâll be returning to this property.

The Cottage was better than we imagined.
Itâs situation in the almost centre of Abersoch ideal. The decor was for me was beautifully done, & tastefully & thoughtfully created. We visited end of April so we were unable to enjoy the balcony & outside facilities which in the summer months would add to the enjoyment, as garden limited, but the parking area at the front is so useful as Abersoch is full & vibrant in the summer, so parking helps. The equipment & facilities to enhance your stay, add to the comfort. & you can use the heating facility which is programme for the occasional help ( or more) but that is all we needed as April is a bit chilly. I would have loved to have read the history of the cottage. Plus a few more instructions , mainly when refuse is collected. Thankyou the high standard of cleanliness of âThe Cottageâ was comforting when we arrived.
