  The Chapel lived up to our expectations and was even better than we had hoped for. It is a fantastic location and spectacular building for a couple to unwind, relax and reconnect. The building entrance faces out to the picturesque view of the green hills, where you can sit by the firepit and enjo.... The Chapel lived up to our expectations and was even better than we had hoped for. It is a fantastic location and spectacular building for a couple to unwind, relax and reconnect. The building entrance faces out to the picturesque view of the green hills, where you can sit by the firepit and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. As you enter the pristine and well laid out kitchen, you immediately feel the warmth from the fire in the living room and feel a sense of being at home. The kitchen is a good size, with everything you need to relax in the morning, cook a meal, or have a couple drinks in the evening. Every utensil and cooking apparatus you need is provided. The star of the show is the living room and wood burner, with its flume stretching up to the top of the tall ceiling. It is a large room, with lots of space to sit in front of the fire, watch tv, or to just switch off. We could not wait to get back to put our feet up by the fire. The bedroom is very relaxing and quiet and looks out to the fields through the windows. There is plenty of storage for clothing and the bed is comfortable. There is a decent sized Co-Op within a 10-minute drive, along with a couple of pubs and restaurants. Wimbleball Lake and dam is a must. There are lots of activities to do on or around the lake. Our hosts responded very quickly to any emails or requests, whilst also allowing for us to have our privacy. They are very friendly and keen for any feedback on how they can make any improvements, which was challenging to do as they have covered virtually every detail. We would highly recommend The Chapel and would like to return one day. You will not be disappointed!!

  We were rather disappointed with this cottage.

  We always look for remote places which are not over-looked. It wasn’t made clear on your listing that it had another barn next to it and that the property opposite looked directly into the barn. We felt that there was no privacy and that we were unable to open the blinds in the living room. We would have thought that there would have been a blind over the window that looks directly into the bathroom? Again the privacy angle for us is important. Whilst the general cleanliness and decor was immaculate, we were shocked to find that when we removed the bedding at the end of our stay (as we always do regardless of whether it is requested), we had been sleeping on heavily stained protectors which is a first for us. Also some of the cutlery was dirty. There were basics missing from the kitchen such as a frying pan, Prosecco/champagne glasses and whisky tumblers, lap trays, small kitchen knives and so on, which are always provided in other properties we’ve stayed in. We also had a problem getting Wi-Fi, which was virtually non existent and also meant that the smart TV was useless as it worked on the Wi-Fi. There was satellite free view but no BBC. We wanted to let you know about this and since there were two phone numbers (separated by only 1 digit) in your information pack, we rang both numbers and left messages. One person rang back and said that we had a wrong number and we had no response from the other at all. We didn’t know who lived in the house opposite and didn’t feel that it was appropriate to knock on doors so we had no Wi-fi for the entire 4 days. Generally we found the property to be very basic. Not what we were expecting and not what we are used to.

  wow this place is something very special, so homely and cosy and all the mod cons, with extra special touches like fresh flowers, little chocolate and a fantastic hamper with all local produce. when we arrived the fire was lite and it was all so magical and new we had made a fantastic choice of .... wow this place is something very special, so homely and cosy and all the mod cons, with extra special touches like fresh flowers, little chocolate and a fantastic hamper with all local produce. when we arrived the fire was lite and it was all so magical and new we had made a fantastic choice of place to stay. the bed wad supper comfortable, towls were extra large and so soft. the information they left for us was perfect, lots of places to eat and walks already printed for us to take with us was an extra touch. but the icing on the cake was when Kelvin said he could give us a private tour of Cleeve Abbey were he volunteer wirh his lovely wife Lynne.we went in FOC and he took us around explaining everything to us and all the history of this incredible Abbey. so if you want to stay in sommerset please stay here you will not be disappointed, wirh the incredible views over the fields with all the lovely sheep and a firepit and a glass of wine , just idyllic. we will be back!

  We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lynne and Kevin’s beautiful chapel, this is truly the best experience we have had staying in an AirBnb. Their communication throughout was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We received a wonderful welcome pack of goodies and appreciated the to.... We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lynne and Kevin’s beautiful chapel, this is truly the best experience we have had staying in an AirBnb. Their communication throughout was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We received a wonderful welcome pack of goodies and appreciated the top tips from Kevin about where to find the ponies and the best fish and chips. The chapel is stunningly renovated with care for its history, we felt at peace and had a warm, and cosy stay. We immediately booked another week for later in the year. Tesco deliver and there is a charming village shop just round the corner. We slept really well in the most comfortable bed, the towels were a good size and super soft. The shower was great and the log burner added that extra bit of cosyness. Parking is easy, off road, right next to the chapel and the wifi is strong and reliable. We enjoyed seeing the sheep in the fields and can’t wait to return and explore some more. Highly recommended, 100 stars!

  We spent an amazing Valentine's weekend at The Chapel. Kevin and Lynne were fantastic hosts, the fire was roaring when we arrived, there was a hamper of delicious goodies and all the essentials. Kevin and Lynne have converted the Chapel with thought and care, with the beautiful stained glass windows.... We spent an amazing Valentine's weekend at The Chapel. Kevin and Lynne were fantastic hosts, the fire was roaring when we arrived, there was a hamper of delicious goodies and all the essentials. Kevin and Lynne have converted the Chapel with thought and care, with the beautiful stained glass windows and exposed brick, complemented by some lovely original pieces. The juxtaposition of the new extension with gorgeous bathroom, bedroom and kitchen is very well executed and the glass doors frame beautiful uninterrupted views over the moorland. One of the highlights for us was being able to meet the locals, in this case the gorgeous Exmoor Horn sheep who live in the field across from he kitchen - Kevin introduced us to the local farmer and we spent much time with these very friendly sheep. In addition to the sheep we went exploring stunning Wimbleball Lake and Dam, within easy walking distance. Many more places to hike are on the doorstep. All in all a fabulous trip, thank you.
