What our customers say about their holidays

A perfect place in a beautiful rural setting, but within easy reach by car to lots of very beautiful towns and villages (independent shops, clean, no empty shops!
). We absolutely loved this cottage and will definitely come back, we also loved the whole area. We normally go to the Cotswolds, but chose this cottage because it had everything we needed and felt like a change. Boy were we pleased we did. In short Stable Cottage absolutely perfect, but importantly the surrounding area, towns and villages also fantastic too. Our whole party really enjoyed the break. The cottage is absolutely wonderful inside with everything we needed. We specifically needed a double bed and walk in shower down stairs, plus anther double bedroom with shower or bath. This was because we were travelling with very elderly parents. The hot tub, which is wood fired was brilliant and as it sits in a very sheltered and secluded area so even though there was a severe rain weather warning during that time and the temp dropped to around 16c it was still absolutely lovely to sit outside and go in the hot tub which we went in for several hours for 3 of our 4 days. The cottage had a really handy large boot room so all your clutter could happily sit out there. I also like to cook whilst away. The kitchen, although a little small (mainly available counter space), was very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could ever need (even a washing machine!) and the items were all of a high standard (ie no useless knives or can openers etc). Belinda and Mike were wonderful, lovely and helpful, always around if you needed anything, but not if you didnât. Lots of walks from the cottage. We also visited Hereford Castle (needed to be in the summer months I think to get the splendour of the gardens- we went end Sept). Hereford â lovely worth a visit , ate at the Beefy Boys â very nice, Worcester, again lovely. Both towns vibrant, lots of independent shops (including modal shops for the husband) and very clean. We had a truly outstanding meal (tapas) at the Unwind Bar â definitely worth a visit. If you go on a Thursday and spend more than £40 on Tapas, you can get a bottle of wine at 50% off. We went for a red from Puglia at £29 per bottle (£14.50 with the discount) honestly one of the most beautiful reds I have ever tasted. So good we are going to import some in for ourselves.

Lovely house with views over the valley.
Very clean, and kitchen well equipped. Dining table needs attention, legs are very loose. Enough seating for 6 adults lounge and dining room. En suite and bathroom very clean and quite new, electric showers in both so no probs with hot water. Bedrooms have 2 king size beds, one zip link to separate into 2 small singles, not super kingsize as advertised. 3rd room has 2 single beds. Track leading to property is off road and uneven. Oil central heating - lovely and cosy. We accessed the house from the back as there is a porch, easier to dry dogs before taking them indoors. Hard floors throughout - perfect for dog families. Garden is enclosed but not dog proof, back fence in garden corner - no visible fence and other areas that dogs can get out. Sheep and lambs in adjoining field so we kept our dogs on leads in the garden. Also dogs not allowed upstairs, not made clear in advert, only in documents at the property. Stair gate provided, we used on kitchen door as didnât want to put on stairs, space not too good and donât want to mark the walls. We have a 6 m puppy so no choice but to have her with us in bedroom in her crate. Good cleaning equipment, vac, mop, broom, dustpan and brush. Dishwasher very handy and tabs under the sink. Would book again, as this is a lovely property, and smart tv a reasonable size, we used our Google stick to view. WiFi provided good enough to stream.

Absolutely beautiful house & surroundings; however we were disappointed given how rural it is at the lack of dog walking available from the property.
We would like to point out that the drive isn't suitable for some cars, if you came in a sports car you wouldn't make it down. The house was lovely & clean when we arrived & there was absolutely everything you could ask for to cook full meals at the property, along with a good size fridge & freezer. The dining kitchen was really lovely for the social aspect along with the table & chairs in the garden which the weather allowed us to use on the first night we where there which was lovely. A footstool or 2 in the living room would have added some extra comfort as for 4 adults relaxing on an evening wasn't massively relaxing. The beds are hard, which as someone who likes a hard mattress I thought would be fine, but the double we had to put the duvet under the sheet to pad it out a bit! We feel some people may struggle with this. Bathrooms were lovely & clean & showers were great even when all 4 of us were showering to go out. Having the downstairs toilet was a massive bonus. Location is what really let it down for us sadly. It felt like a 30 minute drive was required to get anywhere & the lack of a village pub to walk to again was a disappointment. For a retreat of doing nothing, this property is perfect & absolutely beautiful, but I wouldn't say it's best placed for exploring Worcestershire personally.

A great holiday cottage and lovely surroundings.
We went in the winter which was really nice, but in the summer it would be even nicer! Lots of walks to do around the area and we went to a lovely pub-restaurant called The Baiting House in a nearby village which we would recommend. The only thing we found a little annoying was the internet situation. The phone service is very poor in the area and you are only given 2gb of free wifi through 4G. Once this has run out you then have to purchase more which is a bit costly and runs out very quickly if several people using it. If you know you will need internet throughout your stay then just be prepared to spend a bit. The wood-burning hot tub was also a nice 'country' touch on a cold winter evening, however it was a bit of a pain having to keep putting more wood in it and it definitely took us more than 4 hours to heat up from cold. Other than these two minor details, the cottage itself is fantastic and has everything you need for a great week/weekend away! The hosts are lovely too and left us a nice hamper of homemade goodies as a welcome gift.

I had the most wonderful week at Stable Cottage.
The place is perfect, lots of nature, walks, scenery and wildlife on your doorstep. The cottage itself was better than any pictures or words, it felt warm and welcoming with so much heart put into all aspects, such as little picture perfect views from every room, the wood fired hot tub that was heated for my arrival, home made jam, detailed walking routes and write ups of where to visit or eat. This is a place where you feel the energy that says, just slow down and look around and take it all in. It had everything you need to be self sufficient for the week. Some lovely extras in a welcome basket were such a special touch. Belinda and Mike are very caring hosts who want you to relax and enjoy the space theyâve created. Theyâre always available should you need them. A special mention to Ola their lovely dog who likes to check in with you whenever she sees you, another lovely aspect to my week. Stable Cottage is somewhere I will revisit, it lifted my spirit and filled me with joy for the entire stay. I highly recommend staying there.
