  The Old Corn Store was the first holiday myself and my husband went on together when we had only been dating a few months - and this visit was our 2nd stay at the property (for our 2nd wedding anniversary!

  ). We received a warm welcome from the hosts - bubbly, milk and biscuits was a lovely touch and very welcome after a long drive from Scotland! The cottage is lovely - amazing views, hot tub and has everything you need for your stay. It was also fun to see the animals on the farm - there are often helpers around on the farm so just ask them and they are more than happy to let you visit the animals. Only gripe would be that we were waaay too warm the first night - however, my husband spoke to the hosts the following day and turns out there was another thermostat hiding behind a curtain that we hadn't seen - problem solved! Only other thing I would say is that the road leading to the farm is very pot-holey and could do with a repair. This cottage is ideal for couples and a dog (we took our little dog with us too). Recommend going to the moors for a walk. Also recommend going into Haworth (we actually spent most of our time there when we were out). A few (dog friendly) eateries worth a mention - Haworth Old Hall (owners are a delight and very tasty food), the Hawthorn (amazing steaks from charcoal grill), The Fleece Inn (yummy pies). Also worth popping to the chocolate shop in Howarth and picking up a box of their signature salted toffee and coconut oil truffles (shop is not dog friendly- but the lady working there is lovely).   We stayed for one week in January 2022.

  The cottage is located in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac and the owners were lovely with excellent communication and were very helpful. The cottage itsself is brand new, beautifully furnished to a high quality & well finished. It felt very homely and we loved our stay with our 8 month old (who also loved it). The welcome pack was unexpected but wonderful and we were pleased that the kitchen utensils lacked nothing that we needed. The owners provided us with a high chair and cot for the baby, both of which were of a good quality and new. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Also for a night in, there were loads of available TV channels and streaming options. We actually took turns working home office from the cottage during our week and had no issues with Internet, so the connection is superb. Also the kitchen high table worked very well for this. Cowling we found charming and there were loads of walks to do straight from the front door, even with a pram. The local pub was friendly and in the welcome book there's a very well prepared list of restaurants / take-away options which we used. Parking is directly outside and very easy. Overall we loved our stay and look forward to coming back.

  What an amazing time we’ve had up in West Yorkshire for my 23rd birthday.

  Me and my Fiancée enjoyed 3 nights up in the picturesque ‘The Old Corn Store’. We didn’t speak much to the hosts but we were welcomed warmly and greeted with a ‘morning’ when we bumped into them. They accommodated very well for our dog with a paddock at the back for him to run around in. The cottage was very warm, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, overlooking the town below and at night in the hot tub offered some relaxing views. We visited Haworth and Skipton which offer a wide range of Dog friendly pubs and cafes. Great facilities within the lodge with ovens and hob, fridge freezer and even a dishwasher and an extremely spacious shower. Overall it was just so relaxing and enjoyable which was something we wanted to do on this break. We’re not ones for normally going back somewhere when we’ve been no matter how joyous it may have been, because we like to explore other places. However, we will be making an exception in this case and will hopefully be back before the year is out. Thankyou so much to the owners for having us and for the Prosecco on arrival too. Very classy touch.

  Lovely place.

  We were expecting good things from this property, however you exceeded our expectations. A lot of care and thought had been put into everything from the decor (no skimping on quality here) to providing everything a guest could possibly want. The cottage was spotless and always warm. The hot tub was lovely too (I need to remember to take my jewellery off next time though - it went a funny colour). You’ll never know how appreciated the welcome pack was (we’d a bad experience in a different cottage where the owner never even left a teabag, drop of milk or a match for the fire!). This was so very kind of you. The views were amazing, and we hadn’t realised that you had such an array of lovely animals. We had a problem in that my partner’s son was sprung on him last minute, however you were very accommodating and allowed him to stay the one night on the sofa. Thank you so much - it dug us out of a hole. We will need to plan a return visit.

  What a wonderful place to stay !

  Lots of walks on the doorstep, 1000 years of history within easy reach. An immaculate little cottage, just right for the two of us for a week away. Met by the owner Joanne, who was attentive to our needs but never intrusive. The cottage has everything that you could need and is newly fitted with an abundance of brand new appliances. Spotlessly clean and tidy throughout. Huge comfy bed, little patio for sunny days, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. The local area is great and there are good restaurants/pubs within very easy reach (no more than 4 miles) so we never went hungry .. very friendly pub about 400m away that where we were made so welcome after our first 8 mile local walk. I would 100% recommend this cottage !
