  The property was extremely clean and well maintained.

  There was a great house manual containing everything. The owner was great with her communications. There was extensive quantities of kitchen equipment, far exceeding anywhere, where we have stayed before. We did find one major drawback and we are both 70 years of age , was getting in and out if the bath without a handle. Due to health conditions we both struggled without a rail. We had our bath removed at home and now have a walk in shower. The holiday confirmed where we are with our health conditions. We did not use outside due to poor weather conditions for most if the week. We had the heating turned down as it was too hot for what we are used to. The owner set it at the same times and temperature we had it at home which was excellent

  The property could really benefit from some maintenance and upgrades.

  The appliances in the kitchen are leaking and you spend more time cleaning water than enjoying your stay. The blinds are so old they have been superglued back together numerous times and they have frayed. Heaven forbid you try to open them. The television is so old and grainy the picture quality is terrible. And the sofas feel like they was purchased from a charity shop ten years ago. ‘‘Twas more comfortable to be sat on the floor. Unable to contact both Sykes or the landlord during our stay. Neighbours constantly complaining that the property is protected by a convenance the prevents the owner from renting it out. Relaxing stay? No chance.

  Fantastic week in Charlestown we all really enjoyed it.

  Location of the smokehouse is excellent and all restaurants are on your doorstep. It was lovely to get up in the morning and look straight out of the window to the tall ships and the harbour an amazing location. It was a great base to explore from. The smokehouse was extremely clean and very comfortable, with the little details that were left by the owners adding to a fantastic stay. The communication from the owner was superb before we arrived which just added to the whole experience. Thank you for a really lovely holiday, we hope to return soon!

  Firstly, it would have been useful if the address had been complete i.

  E. 19 Cormorant Drive. I spent half an hour looking for a property that matched the Annexe photo until the proprietor saw me crawling along the whole street and came to my rescue. Had he not, I would have failed to find the property. Most unsatisfactory. The property itself was value for money, clean, comfortable, with all necessary mod. cons. and a complimentary cream tea on arrival. The proprietor could not have been more friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

  The annex was exactly as shown in the photos.

  It was lovely to be welcomed by Steve and Brenda. There was even a pint of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. Steve checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything. We couldn't get the shower to work so Steve fixed it immediately. The kitchen and bathroom had everything needed for cleaning and washing up etc. It was lovely and clean. I brought my hairdryer as I wasn't sure there was one but there was. It was in a great area for exploring Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay.
