What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely place, peaceful and good location.
Good outdoor area for kids to play or run around. Beds very comfy, master bathroom really lovely. Seating very comfy. We appreciate the games and dvds. Good tvs. WiFi was great. There were fans which we really appreciated. Nice picnic table to sit at with parasol on a hot day. Dog blankets were great, the provider poop bags and dog bowls. Fridge freezer a great size for family of 4. Thankful of the dishwasher. Largely very clean and tidy. It's been maintained well. Just a little dusty around master bed at the back and down back legs. Single beds a little too narrow. Would have liked to have had a hoover, especially with two young kids and a dog about. No washing machine so recommend pack more than you might need. Bath mat was slippery so suggest getting a new one. Would also recommend plastic kids plates/dishes and cups... Just in case. Overall we had a really lovely stay. Could have stayed another week. Easy to find and we were close enough with a 20 min ride to most local places and food beaches. Lovely hearing the birds sing and the local chickens! Felt very relaxed in the place. Rarely heard the neighbours as it's far enough apart and liked the privacy of the hedges and shrubbery near by. Really pretty place.

Beach Hut No.2 is a great holiday cottage/beach hut in an absolutely fantastic location with bifold doors facing out onto the beach, and with the added benefit of its own parking space right outside the front of the property, with off road parking. The property is spotlessly clean throughout with everything you could wish for during your stay, with the added bonus of welcome tea/coffee/milk/sugar sachets to get your holiday off to a great start. The accommodation is centrally located within Shaldon making it accessible to the beach, coastal walks, local shops and restaurants, with the ferry close by to take you across to enjoy the delights of Teignmouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend staycation for my birthday in February, and we were very lucky with the weather being dry and mild for us to enjoy walks along the beach. We were spoilt for choice with all the lovely restaurants to choose from, and can recommend The Ness for a great steak and the London Inn for a Sunday roast and a great atmosphere. We will definitely come back again and recommend you give it a try, it’s bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside, and the king size bed is very comfy.

The lodge was spotlessly clean.
The Beds were comfortable with very nice linen. All one could need was provided although a grab bar on the wall over the bath would be of help to the aged. There is a lake just down the road to which you have access. It is a lovely walk around it and if you fish it has a lot of large carp. The area is lovely if you like walks etc and the distance to nice places was fine. RHS Rosemoor is really lovely and Hartland point is a really scenic spot. Bude is a really nice place and the ice creams are great. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Tomtom sat nav did not accept the postcode and tried to send us to Bideford. Might be the reception. If you are arriving from Bideford going South on the A39, about halfway to Bude there is a sign on the right to a lane on the left going to West Yagland. About a mile down there is a crossroads. Go straight across and just down there on the right is Hartland Forest Golf Club. The lodges are numbered and sign posted. We had a very happy week there.

Lovely peaceful lodge.
Very well equipped with good quality furnishings & kitchen equipment. Huge smart tv in lounge, DVD player with DVDâs, Alexa, jigsaws etc. Very dog friendly Dog bowls, bed, towels, even poo bags provided. Very remote so a few miles to the nearest shop, but this was not an issue with forward planning. A suggestion would be a fan for the bedrooms as it can get quite hot. Plenty of lovely places to visit not too far away. We visited Bude, Westward Ho, Boscastle & Tintagel. All lovely places. Thereâs also an outlet nearby if you are looking for a bargain. Spoke with the owner Claire as we left something behind. Very nice person who is happy to post it to us for which we are very grateful. Would definitely return & recommend for a getaway from it all holiday.

We very much enjoyed staying in Hut 2, it's a lovely location and well thought out space. Improvements I would suggest are: alter or remove the low cooker hood ledge which was on eye level for us and both of us collided with it a few times. The two white wooden chairs inside are very wobbly and need replacing before they break. The sofa has a rip in it and this looks a bit shabby. Neither of us could find the wifi router model name/ number on our phones for access and this may need re-setting. These are just the tweeks that would make me really go "Wow" for such an expensive experience. Having said all that, it really is a fab, unique and a lovely little hut and we enjoyed our stay.
