  “We stayed over Christmas. The owners provided a decorated and lit tree - a lovely personal touch. The layout is quirky, but in a good way. A very spacious kitchen-diner is great for breakfasts, although there's a bigger dining room next door. There's also a roomy shower room (the shower would easily fit two people) with a toilet, and a comfy living room. The first floor features three bedrooms and a small lavatory room. The second floor has a single bedroom, a double bunk room and a really large bathroom. I'm a little surprised they didn't make more of the space: if the bath wasn't so tight against the wall and the angle of the chimney, its shower could be mounted higher. Although the cottage does have a parking space assigned to it, I really don't recommend using it, as it's ridiculously difficult to manoeuvre a car into the tight little lane leading to the space, and you risk damaging your vehicle. Instead, park in the Salvation Army car park just before it, to unload, then move your car to the East Cliff car park off Cliff Road nearby, and buy a week's season ticket, which is also good for the Station Road car park.”

  Thank you for allowing guests to stay in your delightful Coach House. We have stayed in many holiday lets over the years and we both agree that this home tops them all! Beautifully furnished and decorated, you have thought of everything to make guests feel happy and cared for in this beautiful spot. The view across to the water tower as the sun sets in the west is priceless. Highlights of our stay were lunch at The Swan at Ingham (seriously good food) and The Recruiting Sergeant at Coltishall. Watching the colony of seals at Horsey Gap - amazing. Long walks with our cockerpoo, Martha, along the beaches at Happisburgh, Walcott, Cart Gap and Sea Palling. Happisburgh Church is also worth a visit. Thanks again, it's been a marvellous holiday. P.S. Seriously good fish and shellfish available from the fish shop in Happisburgh, and East Runton Old Vicarage a must visit for any garden lover. We left the guide for future guests.

  “We didn’t think we’d find accommodation big enough for us so what a treat to find Ashley Cottage. We wanted to bring our two mothers away for a treat as well as our two daughters and their partners. Ashley Cottage was perfect, we had 5 bedrooms, 3 toilets and 2 shower/baths. We all had ample room, the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of everything which you don’t always find when there’s a lot of you. A dishwasher which was great. The location was fantastic, so close to the centre. We came in 4 cars(we even brought the dogs) and there’s only space for one smaller car but the others parked in the nearby car park which cost £8.50 for 24 hours. We all remarked what a lovely few days we’d had and would definitely come again. Jo and Lee. ”
