What our customers say about their holidays

Mixed review.
We stayed in Lazy Daze lodge in Bridlington. The lodge itself was lovely and clean, smelt fresh and new when we opened the door (I believe they were only installed in 2021). It took us a few minutes to find the key safe as it blends in (itâs almost opposite the door attached to the fence). Everything worked fine. The âkettleâ in the kitchen was a little odd, itâs a drinks machine which boils water very quickly, but the water quantity vs mug size doesnât match, so you either end up with half a cup, or it overflows. The main downside to this lodge is itâs position. Itâs right next to a busy main road, there is a small hedge in between, but that doesnât stop the noise. Thereâs a constant flow of traffic (cars, lorries, tractors, farming machinery) all day long from around 5.30am until 10pm. Oh, and on some days the drain cleaning lorry arrives at 7am and empties the drain system directly behind Lazy Daze lodge. Thankfully the road does quieten down overnight, but we couldnât wait to leave the lodge during the day to get away from the constant drone of traffic. Hazy Daze lodge is the lodge next door, so itâs a little bit further away from the road, but I donât think it will be much better than Lazy Daze as far as road noise is concerned. We will not be going back to Lazy Daze because of the road noise, which is a shame as the lodge itself is lovely.

Had a lovely getaway, the property was nice, modern and tidy, however could of done with a good hoover as there was a lot of dog hairs especially on the carpet or even provide a hoover in the property so we could of used it.
We had a problem accessing the heating, despite the lovely weather in the day, every morning the property got really cold which resulted in my 1 year old to wake up frequently early hours because she was cold, we contacted Sykes who kindly spoke to the owner regarding the issue and we was told the owner could not do anything as they was 4 hours away, no other help or information was given, we tried everything but the heating would just not work so we ended up having to buy a plug in heater :( One other thing I would like to mention is information on where to take your rubbish, there was no signs or information where the on site waste bins are we had to contact Sykes to ask, maybe just add it to the information sheet in the folder so that other guests know where they are, and also provide a hoover. Despite those mentioned above we did enjoy our stay and we would recommend this property to others and also return in the future :)

What a nightmare.
Booked for 3 nights and due to the massive lorries going past we were up at 4am first morning, 5am second morning and 4.55am third morning. When we were put into this cabin we asked for a reduction due to this to be told NO as its in the description. This really wasn't acceptable as this was not the cabin we booked. We booked Happy Daze and because it was left in such a state by the previous people with urine soaking in the bed etc it was not fit to live in so we were offered Lazy Daze. We had no choice as we had driven 3hrs with our dog in the back and we were just put on the spot. We said we were not happy and asked for a reduction then all of a sudden we were offered Happy Daze again saying it is now OK. Clearly not as I went to look and the cleaners had left all the doors and windows open due to the smell and you expected us to move into it, Really!! Clearly my reviews will take this all into consideration.

We were warned about the road noise but didnât truly anticipate that it would start at 4.
30am and would be large artic lorries and a drag for the boy racers later at night too. Although it states it sleeps 6 I do think it needs to be noted this could not be 6 adults. The table only seats 4 and the seating the room is not enough for 6. The pull out sofa bed only takes one adult and 2 small children at best. The location is good in terms of an east walk to the beach and along to Bridlington. However, if you are away to not cook (like us we down tools for a few days lol) be aware ordering can be a nightmare as itâs not yet on their systems I.e just eat so bear in mind as it took over an hour and twenty minutes one night but this is no fault of the owner just to make people aware The lodge is beautiful in decor and upkeep and was cleaned and tidy on arrival which always makes thing nice when arriving to see that and not worry about who has been before.

Lovely clean property.
Opted for the larger chalet this time and felt it was worth the extra money. Loved the little doggy extras plus milk in the fridge. It was a cold and windy week but didnât feel it inside the chalet we were lovely and snuggly. Jodie was very easy to get hold of regarding a couple of issues that were quickly resolved or explained. One gripe was the double bed mattress kept slipping down the bed so ended up half way down the bed at night. Only other thing, thereâs no bread knife but not exactly end of the world stuff. In all a fab week in a lovely chalet in a perfect location. Would stay again and recommend to others travelling with furry friends oh and pets
