  Hi There, We loved this place and will return, it was a last minute booking for my wife and I as we had our cottage cancelled on the same day as we booked with you, It was lucky you had this date free.

  The apartment was spotless , we always say when we go away the place has to be at least as comfortable as our home and No1 Riverside did exactly this. Thank you for also suppling the milk/ teabags and the lovely Plum Bread and Jam. Mmmmm , we both put weight on ;) The sheets on the bed, towels were lovely x The location to Keswick and parking made the stay easy and more fullfiling. We loved the sound of the river both in the morning and when going to bed, wonderful. x No negatives just a couple of small maintenance issues. 1. The electric fire in the lounge, the fan makes a real noise, it would be lovely to have it on, not for the heat but the glowing log effect, it would be great if you can sort this. 2. I had to bleed the radiators and top the bolier pressure up to get the heating working again, I did not bother you with this as its something I can do, good to keep an eye on this .. 3. The standard lamp fitting is broken , easy fix. We will definitely visit again , we both said we could live in the apartment so if you ever think of selling ? x x ;) Lots of love and well done on supplying a great product and service.   Lovely views from the property and pleased to see new carpets have been installed in the bedrooms.

  However a few issues regarding the maintenance of the fixtures and fittings. The blinds in the kitchen do not have a tilt option, the ensuite toilet continually dripped, the ensuite shower unit heavily leaked from the unit which affected the flow, neither of the bathroom sink plugs could be left in the open position to drain, one of the lights in the main bathroom mirror was out and finally the toilet flush in the main bathroom kept falling apart and came away from the fitting. Don't get me wrong....it's a beautiful apartment, but if you charge top prices, as Sykes now do, you expect perfection. We would definately return as the location is superb, but we have definately noticed a drop in standards since ownership/management/agent have changed. We mention the above to hopefully improve the guest experience for everyone. The previous owner had someone go round the property checking all of the above, in all of the apartments, before each set of guests. This clearly doesn't happen now. Hope the above helps.

  Top class holiday rental.

  Howe Keld 2. We have stayed in many apartments and this is our favourite, so much so that we have booked again for six weeks time. Everything is very high spec, top quality, very pleasing to the eye, attention to detail is notable, comfortable in every respect, immaculately clean, very welcoming. A tea tray had been laid out for us with a cake and pot of jam, and tea, fresh coffee, sugar, milk were provided. The provision of things, like tea, towels, towels, bin bags, dishwasher, tablets, was generous. The housekeeper, Angela, is a very good communicator, very pleasant and friendly and willing to do anything to help. The apartment made our holiday, we actually enjoyed spending time in the apartment as much as we did going out exploring. There is only one slight problem for us and that is the parking, which was quite tricky for our car. It would’ve been fine if we had been in a mini though.

  The apartment was superb.

  ..really well designed with a high spec interior it had everything you could wish for. The bathroom in particular was fantastic. A wonderful deep bath to soak the muscles after a days walking... The location is fantastic, only 2 mins from town but still a quiet location. There was a parking space in the buildings car park... probably the only negative as it's a bit tricky parking a large car, but you do get used to it..you need to reverse in !! Keswick is a wonderful base, the town has LOTS of really good places to eat, the fellpack was the best and closest.. (hence we didn't use the flats lovely kitchen very much). Quick mention for Angela the housekeeper a real asset, very helpful and knowledgeable... Pointed us in the direction of the best Chinese takeaway. (Golden hills). All in all an excellent stay and we really hope to return. Thankyou!

  Just to say we had a great stay.

  It was wonderful and very welcoming. A couple of points for feedback. The outside lights didn't come on and after inspecting the fuse board it transpires they had been turned off. Not good in the dark with difficult steps to negotiate. Secondly the central heating was set for twice a day. On the assumption that guests would be out during the day fine BUT it was Xmas holidays when the shops are shut and winter weather is bad.So to supplement the heating by asking guests to use the air heater on the electric fire only produced a dry heat that gave us both raging sore throats and kept us in bed two days. Not good. Other than that it was as good as it looked in the brochure. Thanks Garry staincliffe.
