What our customers say about their holidays

An attractive cottage (no doubt a barn conversion).
Has lots of potential but not a four star as advertised. Have stayed in many many cottages and never before have we had to strip the beds ourselves on vacating. Requires new double glazing and definitely toilet roll holders in bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Rotary washing line needs attention instead of rocks to keep it in place and garden etc needs a general tidy up. Dark, cold and a bit disappointing on arrival but we got used to the cottage and it grew on us. Couldn't use the WiFi (password?!). Up to date information re supermarkets would have been helpful as found the Kilgetty coop in a right mess so a wasted visit. Contented Sole had the worst chips we had ever had. Oh and a shower cubicle upgrade is required upstairs if the property is to remain a four star. A few other pointers if it would help but not mentioned here. Just a general upgrade needed.

My feedback is well documented through a complaint we submitted on return (but also via Instagram with Menai Holidays before we checked out).
It's about the accuracy of the listing primarily, and the lack of sleep we had due to poor mattress and pillows. The cottage itself is contemporary and well presented, the towels were fluffy and large, it was clean on arrival - some minor maintenance issues, but nothing major. EV charging point was a God-send having just bought an electric vehicle. However, the main reason for booking was the claim that it was near a beach. That is absolutely not a beach that can be used in the same way as, for example, Newborough or Red Wharf Bay. More mud and rocks with two small patches of sand - one far too small to use near the car park and one inaccessible with a 9 year old. It was suggested we could walk 10 minutes up the lane - on a busy road with no pavements at either side - with a child, beach equipment and lunch!

Nice property in a great location for exploring the beautiful area of a Pembrokeshire with all of the main visiting areas within a lovely 30 min drive.
A small group of cottages around a courtyard/parking area but each are private and quiet. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and clean with everything you need provided. Ideal for 2 couples or a family as 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The superking ensuite bedroom is fabulous and also has an extra single bed. Nice, large ,safe, gravelled enclosed garden area for the pooch. The local pub The Boars Head, literally a 1min walk down the road is an absolute must, the food and service is outstanding and it's dog friendly but advised to book as it gets very busy with locals and visitors. Tim the owner of the cottages is friendly and helpful and lives just behind the cottages so is always on hand if you need anything. Highly recommend a stay here and would not hesitate to return.

Used sat nav postcode to find property which took us as far as Ruthin Sports club then told us we had arrived fortunately we contacted the owner and were able to find via her direction do not rely on Sat nav postcode enter address.
On arrival we found the property well furnished and spotless also a very nice welcome pack which consisted not only of essentials but also a few treats, the furnishing were comfortable and also ample selection of cooking utensils and choice of cooking methods or electric oven and hob,air fryer, microwave. The lounge was well furnished and comfortable and the bedrooms had ample storage and comfortable beds, the showeroom was clean and modern and the shower was excellent. We found the Coach house central for visiting the coast and also plenty of places to visit inland, the only drawback was lack of a footpath to the local village along a well used road. We enjoyed our stay at the Coach house and would happily return of we revisit the area. Thank you Terry and Chris.

Disappointed not to be told there is building work going on on-site, occasionally vehicles parked making it difficult to access the parking place outside the house as we would return to the house during the day.
Window on front door clear glazing denying privacy, anyone could look through and see us and/or personal belongings not to mention any âpeeping Tomâ at night as the site is isolated and off a road, we felt the need to cover the window from dusk to the morning. Positively, lovely property with all facilities available, we would definitely book to stay again as it is in one of our favourite places and as a Welsh person it is nice to be close to a Welsh community. Always a warm welcome. PS Inadvertently brought back the tea towel (I had taken my own), it will be washed and posted back to the property if the cleaning services could please check the post box.
