Absolutely stunning place and perfect location, took two goes round the block to find it as kept missing turning, on arrival lovely home made scones and Jam and cream and milk for a coffee thankyou so much was a lovely thoughtful gesture to do after a long journey to get here ,the whole house is amazing and we didnt want to leave ,wish I'd booked longer ,next time will do ,hot tub was lovely for my daughter when it worked might need a little attention as few times kept cutting out ,first few days of using it ,but she enjoyed it ,after a long walk in the day visiting places ,only other thing would be the shower is definitely better in room with the patio doors, it's amazing ,other one doesn't drain to good ,but wasnt a problem ,as they just used mine ,beautiful place ,could wake up here every morning, beds are very comfy ,we had lovely weather which was a bonus ,everything we needed was here two keys would be ideal if going separate ways but guessing that's why the key safe there also ,but a lot of people don't like using them so that could be an idea ,our daughter lives here now to in Crantock so not far away ,so was ideal for us to be in Newquay, can't wait to visit again ,once again thankyou so much for making our stay even better by having a lovely place to come home to after a long day ,see you soon we will be back regards Karen Steven and Charlotte and Paris

We had a lovely week at An Drowes in June 2023 and would highly recommend.
The property was spotlessly clean upon arrival and we were very impressed with the quality of furnishings and facilities. Everything feels brand new! We also thought the hand written card and freshly baked scones upon arrival were a personal touch. Location is great for access to the town and beaches as well as exploring other areas of Cornwall. You also have lots of choice nearby for food as well as several supermarkets. The only downside to our stay (which was quickly rectified) is that we noticed on arrival that the hot tub water was green in colour rather than clear/blue with a very strong chemical smell. We didnât think anything of this and also didnât want to complain, but unfortunately after the first use two of our party had experienced a burning sensation and rash on their back and legs immediately after coming out of the water and after the second day and use we all had the same. We notified this to the owner and on the same day the hot tub water was replaced with crystal clear water and we didnât experience any further issues. Despite the small issue as it was handled quickly and as it didnât spoil our stay, we would highly recommend choosing this property and would revisit again in the future when deciding to stay in Newquay. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This is a characterful cottage in an ideal location for exploring the northern beaches of Cornwall, close to Newquay and Padstow, located in a lovely village with a great beach only a 5 minute drive away.
Nearby airport is not an issue. The cottage is well equipped for any holiday, lovely large open fireplace in lounge, good sized kitchen which is part of an extension, great utility room which would be great for coming back to, after a wet day out, nice use of surfboards to decorate the property along with some nice artwork on the walls, great large dining room table, large wet room downstairs with OK shower (though slow to drain) nice garden space at the front of the property. The house is let down by being tired in places - upstairs bathroom is desperately in need of an update eg. Discoloured toilet seat making you feel uncomfortable and clearly there used to be a shower over bath but is now a hand held shower, red sofa in lounge has clearly seen better days, carpets have a grubby feel, the two fridges both look old eg no door trays in kitchen fridge suggesting they were broken, strange use of wooden boxes in fire place, no welcome guide to tell you what to do with recycling waste or where your nearest GP, vet is etc. Overall this was a good place to explore the beauty of Cornwall in a cottage that grows on you over the week despite it being tired in places and in need of an update. Thanks to our hosts.

We had a lovely time, clearly a great deal of time and money has been spent on making this holiday home into a great place to stay.
Very modern, clean and tidy. We were very comfortable staying here. Shame about the area it is in as it is very run down, but it didnât spoil our stay at all. A couple of things I think need addressing and that is when I stripped the bedding as asked before we left. there were no pillow protectors. This is a must especially with what we have all been through in the last year, also on the duvet itself, on both beds were some yellow stains. The mattress had a protective cover but they didnât want this stripped off. I would say that needs washing each time. Also we were very lucky with the weather and spent time sitting outside on the outside furniture. There was a lot of dried bird droppings and would of been nice if this could of been washed down and brushed away. If you have an electric toothbrush take an adapter as there is no electric shaving sockets in the bathrooms. The owners left us homemade scones with cream and jam on our arrival and milk. Which I felt was a lovely touch. Also a card welcoming us with some great recommendations for dog walks. We felt very at home all week and the hot tub was a bonus and very relaxing. Thank for letting us stay.

The cottage is lovely and comfortable, however the knives and forks plastic were child size and flimsy.
We were contacted by owner for access when we arrived as they were away until Sunday. On Sunday no contact but asked the husband and he said he'd get some but not to throw old ones away, quite stand offish. These were given to us Wednesday,. We thought we had a patio and access to shared garden/field, this turned out to be a car park for swimming lessons in hosts pool 4pm to 7pm and Saturday mornings. The amount of traffic as we sat trying to relax/eat outside was upsetting as this wasn't in itinerary, we booked last August. Reading feedbaxk from this year someone else has left similar feedback, we booked last August as we certainly wouldn't have booked it. No local walks as stated either. We didn't see female owner until we were packing to leave Saturday in passing asked if we'd had a good week, we mentioned not knowing about swimming lessons and car parking, she said it does say in description, and we had to share area, quite rude. The owners also had a large alsation dog, our dogs petrified when it barked We wanted a quiet get away with our 2 dogs, this wasn't quiet or completely dog friendly as stated.videos and photos taken to back this complaint.
