I wish I could give more stars for this amazing property but the app only allows 5.

Shame. Anyway, to the review: Prior to arrival, I had a lovely message asking what time I expected to arrive for key handover. Lovely gesture, makes this feel less transactional and way more welcoming. Was asked to message 10 minutes before I arrived, which I duly did from a farm up the road that has a milk machine and donkeys!! More on that on a different review. Arrived at a very well directed and signposted lodge and what a view. David was waiting, and was very patient. David showed us around the lodge, and the surrounding land. Everything was well pointed out both inside and out, and full instructions provided for all things that needed them. Nothing was a problem, and both David and Sonia were on hand if anything was needed, which again is a lovely touch. David even showed us around the other lodge as it was unoccupied, and it's just as beautiful. The lodge itself was gorgeous, so well designed and laid out. Very well decorated. Everything you could possibly want is provided, including a lovely welcome basket. Very considerate. The view from the large bifold doors is outstanding, even on a rainy day! The last day looked like something out of silent hill! Privacy from the hot tub was excellent and the tub itself was immaculate. Probably the cleanest one I've seen. The rooms in the lodge are all excellent, perfectly sized with good storage. Massive bathtub in the main bathroom and large shower in the ensuite. The sofa and indeed all the chairs were very comfy. Excellent kitchen facilities and a huge fridge and freezer. Outside, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Hot tub had speakers built in too! Extra luxury, but to be honest the sounds of the working farm were much nicer to listen to. On that subject, I took a little walk and met some of the young calves. How nice it was to give them chin scratches! I honestly cannot thank David and Sonia enough, what a place to stay. Even had the sweetest message after leaving! Would love to return, this place is an absolute gem, as are its hosts.

The blueBells Cottage Oct 2022 A one bedroom chalet/lodge, in pleasant woodland surroundings, overlooking the Conwy valley.

A step up from the caravan, in most areas, except the kitchen, which although adequate, was small. Worktop space lacking. All the facilities that you could want are there, except for a washing machine. The view from the main window was very good. The cottage is up a long narrow rough drive. A word of warning to anyone trying to find the cottage. The post code on a sat nav or phone will only get you near the main area on the main road. If coming from the North, then you have to go past the drive entrance, do a U-turn, then cut across the road to the start of the drive. then up the single track. It is signposted and has reflextive triangles at the entrance. The cottage is realtively small, but has all that you need. The kitchen is the smallest room, though useable. A decent shower in the bathroom, though more shelves would help. A reasonable amount of storage. Heating in the living room is provided by an electric fire. A bit noisy, but it quickly heats up the room. The bedroom does not have a heater, but there is an electric blanket. Still, adequate on a cold October night. A deck and lounger are provided outside. A lot of handy little stickers are provided by the owners, giving guidance to to such things as switch locations. The cottage was a good base for visiting the North of Wales area. Trains and buses possbile, but the times are infrequent, so driving is a more likely option. Note: the footbridge at Dolgarrog is closed, preventing a walking option to the other side of the valley. The cottage felt clean and I had a pleasant stay.

Wow! This place is absolute paradise!

David & Sonia are the perfect hosts and you really get the feeling that they have put so much thought, not only into the lodge but also into the surrounding grounds. It's like a little piece of Welsh heaven. The Lodge is extremely private with beautiful views of the countryside set through the large fronted windows and veranda. We stayed as a family of four for a week and we found the area secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet but not more than an hours drive away from some fantastic family days out. Welshpool is just a short drive down the road for shops and restaurants and there are also plenty of local shops just five minutes away for any necessities. If you are looking for something in this area, then look no further. Absolutely perfect! We will definitely be going back as this place is difficult to beat.

We (family of 3, with a 9 month old) stayed in the Pool View for 1 week.

The accommodation was modern and beautifully decorated. I would say the nicest accommodation we have ever stayed. The property was very baby proof and as per our request we also were provided a cot for our daughter. The Facilities were great, we had 1 small issue with the microwave which was resolved quickly. The hosts David and Sonia went out of their way to buy a back up microwave just incase we needed it. We never needed the back up but this was an amazing gesture and goes to show how great David and Sonia are as hosts. The Hot Tub and facilities in the property were all high quality. TVs have netflix/ disney etc but you'll need to log in with your account details and log out before you leave. 10/10, would highly recommend staying

We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate to return.

The property was as described and supported by previous reviews, spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. The patio area at the front was an ideal place for relaxing and taking in the wonderful scenery. The hot tub with built in Bluetooth speaker was private and a very welcome addition after a long walk and for stargazing at night. Unfortunately bath robes are no longer provided due to previous guests taking them which is understandable, we took our own. All in all it was everything you could want from a luxury property and my only minor gripe would be the lack of some pasta bowls, and a wider, larger range of pans for cooking.
